About this ebook

Unlocking the Youniverse, your internal universe, is imperatively important and simple and yet so few do it. Just imagine, everything you could ever need or want is available to you right now and all you need to do is unclutter your mind.

When you unclutter you will find an awesome power. This is not an ego power, a power over others, a ‘I’m stronger than you’ type thing. It’s actually the power to say ‘NO’. It’s the power to not let people and events push you off-centre. It’s the power to hold fast to the truth and not let go. It’s the power to say no to the self-limiting beliefs that keep you where you are. It’s the power to wait patiently for just the right opportunity to come along. It’s the power to say no to those parts of living that suck the life out of us.

Praise for the book...

5 stars "Robert really cut through to the nitty gritty ... Not a lot of fluff here. You won't get lost in new age concepts. Direct and to the point. I've reread this book 3 times and enjoy it as a friendly reminder of the work that needs be done in order to reap the rewards. Refreshing voice to a well worn topic. If you want to understand the workings of the mind in regards to happiness, this book will offer it up on a platter."

5 stars “I have read many, many self-help books about happiness, but this author really and finally explains not just what happiness is, but how to actually get there, and the false beliefs we've had all our life that prevents us from being happy. Now I know what to do, and now I see that most of the other authors were right too about the basics, but didn't explain the real reasons behind it. Thanks Robert Baohm for this book, and I invite you all to read it.”

Unlock the Youniverse - Robert Baohm

    A book like no other

You know it’s there don’t you?

Hiding behind the noise in your head is the potential…the awesomeness…the wisdom…the intelligence…….the power. You try not to give it much thought and heck, you definitely don’t like to talk about it. People might think you are ‘just a little bit unhinged’ and an even worse crime is the open and crushing acknowledgment of the status-quo – the sheer mediocrity of our normal lives. Who, just who is ready to stand up and say It’s my time!? Who, just who is ready to come out and say I’m not going to go to my grave like this!?

    Will it be you?

The greatest con-job of all time, we have been tricked into trying to find fulfilment and happiness through the things we do in life. Hence the world has confused egoistic satisfaction with happiness, or at the very least accepted it as a poor substitute. What if, just what if you could be completely happy first and then did life second? The struggle evaporates instantly! Instead of chasing money, sex and power (as most adults do) you could decide to take the money or leave the money, take the sex or leave the sex. Now this is real power.

The most wizened masters down through the ages knew the secrets of the truths about fulfilment, happiness and power but the message has been distorted by those who went for power first and experience second. Self-appointed teachers substitute love, truth and reality for theoretical correctness and try and build their followers up. Be very wary, if you can be built up with theory, you can be torn right back down. Only truth and reality exposes the true greatness under the clutter and in this guide we will occasionally turn back to some of the original masters and their wonderful, non-corrupted words of original wisdom.

Left up to the lower intelligence the information that this book contains will remain theoretical. I’m going to take you places where your mind just doesn’t want to go and unlocking the youniverse and life’s mysteries is going to take determination. The clutter in your mind is there because it wants to be there. You can rest easy though, I have provided a framework of understanding with mind clarifying exercises that will help you sort out what you really want, what is really important.

What you have in your hands or on your screen or in your ears is a new beginning, a fresh start on life and it’s up your higher intelligence, the one we all share, to grab it with both hands and run with it. It is not just the book itself that is unlike any other book you have ever read but the profound impact of the realisation of the riches and fulfilment that you will achieve if you can let this information into your heart and mind.

The sort of riches and fulfilment rock stars and royalty would give everything for in a heartbeat.

    Introduction

    Uncluttered happiness IS fulfilment

What would make you ultimately happy? Most people would respond readily with something along the lines of good times, travel, setting and reaching goals, family etc. Now I want to ask you - Do you know who you really are (beyond my name is X and my job is Y, my hobbies are 1, 2 and 3 .....)? Thinking music please........ (and if you're honest the answer is)....... Er... Ah.... Um.... No.

How can you really know what makes you happy if you don't know who you really are? It seems the cart had been put before the horse a bit doesn't it?

Spending all our time trying to be happy without knowing who we really are under the labels and definitions we have given ourselves is to try and solve a puzzle that can't be solved. Many an ancient Greek was onto this when they said Know thy Self.

So it stands to reason that the first step to real happiness is to know who we really are. To know who you really are under the labels is to be in your natural uncluttered state (which we’ll just call the Natural State from now on to keep it short and sweet).

And the second step..... There is no second step! Once you have returned to your Natural State stick a fork in it – you're done. You were born with the happiness and fulfilment you seek and over the years it has been covered up. Over the years you have lost your connection to your Natural State and have been operating from your 'Normal’ busy mind state. It's called 'Normal' because this is how most people operate but it’s definitely not natural!

    Real happiness v Normal happiness

Real happiness is not what most people think it is. It's better than ‘normal happiness’ because it’s deeper, more solid and it’s not reliant on any thought or outside person, thing or event. When you are real-ly happy the fear, doubt and the noise in your head is gone and you can think clearly, you feel great in your body, your problems 'dissolve', and you understand what it means to be alive. You will find the meaning of life. I will tell you now that the meaning of life is to live but when you find real happiness, this won't just be a concept in your head, this will be a full body knowing. You no longer think about life. You just live – fully and completely and freely. When this knowing runs from the tips of your toes to the top of your head there is nothing missing from your life and you are complete which means you will be completely fulfilled.

But wait – there's more. You don't have to actually do anything! You don't have to join a cult or club, take on a new belief system, work hard, become religious, leave your religion or even leave the house. Nothing needs changing. Having said that, when you 'get it', everything changes and you still haven't lifted a finger!

    Exercise

Let's try and get a handle on what real happiness and being complete actually means.

Make two fists in front of your body. Let's say the right fist represents you. The left fist is somebody else or a tree or an event or an ant. Let's just say that the left fist is the rest of the world. Does this illustrate how you pretty much see the world and your place in it?

Now open up your fists and interlock the fingers of both hands together. This is your Natural State. This is the youniverse as it really is. Before you felt separate from the world and even separate and uneasy with-in yourself, now you are complete and there is no separation with-in yourself or between you and anything else.

I am going to show you how your 'normal state' impedes your happiness and how to regain your birth right that is your Natural State and real happiness.

    Mind v Brain

Any true study of the mind and the brain is a monumentally complex task and fortunately for both you and I that is not what we are doing here. What we will actually be doing here is an examination of how your mind works and how it impacts on your happiness and what to do about it.

What we do need to do though before going any further is to thrash out some definitions regarding the mind and the brain because what I’ve found is that most people don’t distinguish between the two. And that’s fair enough. Even dictionary definitions of ‘brain’ will give ‘mind’ as a synonym.

But for what we are doing in this guide we need to separate the two so here are my (and what I believe are ‘industry standard’) definitions:

    Brain

The soft squishy bit which resides in your skull which just knows things, can store memories, is an incredible calculator and looks after your bodily processes.

    Mind

A lot harder to pin down, it is the bit that that thinks it knows things and is the part of you which stores ideas about yourself and ideas about the way the world works.

Let’s put that into context by using an example:

A child burns herself. She knows she has burnt herself but doesn’t have any idea what to do about it. Dad takes one look at it, knows she is burnt and his idea to fix it is Just spit on it, she’ll be right. Mum takes a look, knows she is burnt and her idea to fix it is Quick, call an ambulance, get it under cold water, grab the antiseptic cream and the bandages! Now, before you laugh too much, this is actually pretty much how it works around my house.

So each of the brains of this dynamic trio know that there is a burn but each mind has a different idea on what to do about it.

Ok, ok. Maybe it’s a bit of an over-simplification but it works for me and I’m not into complicating matters more than we need to. I’m not doing any brain stuff here. There is no discussion of neurons, brain chemistry, electro-chemical signals……. er sorry, I dozed-off there for a second…. that stuff’s boring and unnecessary! Unless it’s actually faulty the brain can look after itself.

Whilst there is a science, I’ve kept it on a personal level. You can learn the physics of a tennis ball, racquet, body, wind
