About this ebook
"Teeth" is a wicked (in Bostonese) Southern satire about a pair of self-righteous, world class New Jersey bigots. In 1979, horse-faced Miriam Potts and her balding, obese, thirty-something son Hans flee ethnically challenged Camden for the peace and contentment they have convinced themselves only the Old South can offer them. Lost in a time warp they attempt to set up a peaceful orthodontic practice in rural, little ol' Gumball, Georgia. Instead the protagonists incite a corporate war amongst forces out to make a quick buck from their idea for revolutionizing dentistry. The local KKK Klavern, a moonshining segregationist sheriff, and a congregation of white Fundamentalists take one side. On the other side are the U.S. Treasury Department, a congregation of Black Presbyterians and a young Black conservative bent on bootstrapping his way to the American Dream. In the middle, a Jewish corporate raider from Brooklyn and some shady white shoe Atlanta lawyers try to play both sides against each other.

about the author John Henry "Jack" Brebbia lives and writes in Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, attended public schools there and went on to Stonehill College and Boston College Law School. He served in the US Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps in the USA and in France. His experiences as the chief of military justice in a logistics command, located in the middle of the French equivalent of Appalachia and populated by a wild bunch of Cold War Warriors whose behavior on and off duty made them better suited for employment by a military circus, were the basis for his first novel−APO 123. APO 123 does for Army lawyers what M*A*S*H did for Army surgeons. After completing his military service he moved to Washington, D.C. where he was a Trial Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission and then a managing partner at Alston & Bird, a white shoe national corporate law firm, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. While practicing in Washington, D.C., he served as a member of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, before relocating to Las Vegas as president of a NASDAQ-listed bank holding company and vice-chairman of its subsidiary bank. He later became an entrepreneur and private practitioner. Among his civic activities, he was chairman of the Nevada Humanities Committee; vice chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council on Education Relating to the Holocaust; a board member of the Nevada Commission on Cultural Affairs, public radio station KNPR and the Federation of State Humanities Councils. For 25 years he was a member of Lefty Salazar & Associates, a local writer’s group whose members have published a number of works of fiction and nonfiction and whose motto was – “We don’t take incoming phone calls.” Teeth is his fourth work of fiction. In 2016, he completed two short stories. America The Beautiful is an election year fable about Dilbert Dump, an ordinary guy from Buffalo, New York that the Trump phenomenon inspires to run for president with results as unpredictable as those Donald Trump managed to achieve. There Goes The Greatest Hitter Who Ever Lived is a comedy/satire about four South Boston, MA room temperature IQ hoodlums who contract with a mysterious Mr. Big to kidnap the body of baseball immortal Ted Williams from a cryonics lab in Tucson, AZ. His second novella – And The Band Played On – a Cape Cod fable, is nearing completion.
