About this ebook

It is a bit different to normal poetry books because as well as a selection of charming short poems the book includes comment by the author on animal welfare and cruelty and environmental protection. He reveals shocking cases of everyday cruelty in farming and industrialised meat production.A staunch animal welfare supporter on Twitter , Facebook and his blog, Larkin calls for more compassion, empathy and understanding of our fellow beings and all other life . He claims that as sentient being animals have the same feelings as humans of pain and fear, love and joy - even humour. His book is aimed at increasing awareness and compassion.

Losing love he’s thus the fool.

    When

When you sit and eat your steak

Think about the life you take.

    You didn’t kill him

    Yes, I know

But you’re the one that made it so
