    Foreword

Tom Gruber is like most other guy’s in every way except one, and it’s been the bane of his life since as long as he can remember. Tom has a small penis, a micropenis to be more precise. His mum took him to the Doctor, and they tried a few things such as giving testosterone shots, however, nothing worked. Fortunately, he’s not one of those guys that moan and complain about having a small dick all the time, like some guys do online. Tom just looks at it as one of life’s ‘little’ obstacles to overcome. Plenty of people are worse off than me, he’d often think.

After another terrible date where a woman rejected him for his penis again, he finds himself having to walk through a city park in the middle of the night to find a taxi. As he rushes through the park, he hears what he thinks is a dog after a squirrel when he discovers it's really a goblin hunting a faerie. After he rescues the poor faerie, and takes her home to recover, he discovers the reason why he can see the fae is because he is the latest in a long line of descendents carrying a perverse curse. The original curse was inflicted on the Emperor of Germania, 'Cheldric the terrible', by Merlin the Magician himself after the Saxon raped and killed the elfin queen, Olandrea.

The curse meant several fae races can only breed through the cursed man, one they call 'The Itteelum', which is elfish for 'seed carrier'. For faeries, gnomes, brownies and some nymphs they can breed by having sex with him and taking his seed into their bodies. While trolls and goblins can only breed by planting their seed in the Itteelum's body. Tom learns this curse was extended by dark magic, as it was meant to die when Cheldric did. However, the elves are using the curse to destroy the races that stand against them with a slow genocide. So they can have ultimate power over all fae, and eventually man.

Tom and a seer named Melinda discover their lives are more intertwined than they ever imagined. While Tom is Cheldric's heir, Melinda is the warriors soul mate's descendent. A with called Everild. Together they start unraveling the truth behind the curse, and find themselves travelling to an island existing out of time due to an enchantment made by a witch called Morgan Le Faye. They're going to the island to find Merlin, who is still alive.

Will Merlin think they're Cheldric and Everild, killing them before he even hears their story? This story starts where Book One ended. Happy reading.

    Chapter 1

Tom wakes to find himself bound and gagged, lying in total darkness. Opposite him, he hears the mournful breathing of Mel and he assumes she's in the same predicament. He can hear running water close by, and the ground seems sandy. Tom struggles against his bonds, yet he can't budge them. He moans as loud as he can and waits, he gets a female sounding one back. At least we're alive, he thought, but for how long? They lie in this manner for what seemed an age, hours of unrelenting darkness, and muscles aching from immobility. Tom had to pee himself as he couldn't hold it in any longer, and judging by a smell he picked eventually picked up he realized Mel had to soil herself too. In the deep blackness, Tom decided this is probably how he was going to die. Merlin has left them there to rot.

However, his fears were unfounded, and after some considerable time, a yellowish light appeared far from them, yet it moved toward them making their surroundings clearer with each passing moment. They were in a cave, and he rolled until he could see Mel, who stared back at him with red-bulging eyes. She's been crying. Eventually, Merlin himself stood before them holding a burning wooden torch aloft as she stared down at them with a leer. Tom can feel his body tremble beneath the steady gaze of the old man, and he felt certain his death had come for him. The elves will win, he thought. Their plan of slow genocide will carry on. The curse was such a good plan, as the parties involved would never trust each other enough to work it out together. These ancient hatreds would bind all to the real purpose of Cheldric's curse. The feeling they had failed made his heart feel heavy.

Merlin appeared smaller than he expected, maybe five and a half feet tall, thin, with shoulder-length gray hair and a trimmed beard. His eyes are blue, alert, and his teeth are yellow and rotten, no dentists or toothpaste in the sixth century. Merlin looks similar to any old man you'd see at a bus stop, only he wore clothing made from animal pelts. Tom finds this weird too, as he somehow expected him to look like Gandalf the Gray. He's dreamed of Merlin, yet has never seen his face in those dreams, and his figure always appeared so monstrous in the way dreams can distort things. Then, he spoke.

So, Cheldric, thou hast come to finish me? Merlin asked rhetorically. He kicks Tom hard, making the bound man gasp and squirm beneath his feet. Thou always wast a foolish heathen. Tom tries to speak, however, all Merlin hears is muffled noises of a desperate man, and he laughs. Save thou breath, for lief thou will hast none to save.

What frustrated Tom so much was he knew, if only he could speak, he'd have a chance to make Merlin see reason. The light from Merlin's eyes shone pure hatred, as all he sees is Cheldric lying before him, not Tom Grüber, and out of frustration he starts crying. Tears flooded his cheeks, as Tom sobs as a baby at the futility of the situation.

Merlin frowns deeply at his blubbering prisoner. What's this? Merlin bellows. Cheldric caterwauling like a wounded animal? This be unlike thou, warrior King. Merlin spits on the ground with a sneer. A man with the heart of a lion, and the fiercest hurly-burly I hast seen, shouldst not die like a gasted child. Merlin suddenly leans and loosens Tom's gag, saying, Speak, Cheldric. Wherefore wouldst a brave warrior, brave enough to come hither to Avalon, anon caterwauling as a babe?

Tom's mouth feels so dry, so speaking didn't come easily. So with a hoarseness, he said, I'm not Cheldric, Merlin. I'm a descendent of his, come to seek your help in uncovering a great treachery. My name is Tom.

Merlin screws his face at Tom. Thou speaks nonsense, thy witchery shall not daw me.

The old wizard suddenly pulls a knife from his side, and holds it aloft.

"WAIT! Merlin, I swear, you're the victim of the witchery here, Tom shouts. Morgan Le Faye has enchanted Avalon so it's hidden from the world and from time. She has betrayed you, Merlin."

Merlin lowers the blade, his eyes narrow and bright. Wherefore shouldst I believe thee? he asks., then scratches his beard.

Our clothes are different, and I talk differently to you. The items we brought with us would be like nothing you have seen, Tom begs. Our strangeness to you speaks the truth of my words.

Tis true, thy things doth seem strange, he said, but this couldst be her kraft, as Everild is a powerful witch.

He stares at Mel, his squinting eyes so cold and hard as he regarded her. Mel shook her head and tries to speak.

Tom feels his fear return, says, She's not Everild, her name is Melinda, and she too is a descendent.

Merlin puts his torch into a hole in the wall, then sits on a rock opposite thinking about Tom's words. After a few minutes, he seems to come to a decision, and asks, Wherefore hast kin of such vile creatures come looking for Merlin?

Tom notes his eyes had changed from anger to amusement, and isn't sure if it's a good sign or not. You cursed Cheldric for killing Olandrea, right?

His face grows dark for a moment, and he said harshly, Aye, and I'd doth it again if I couldst.

Olandrea gave him the potion to make his manhood bigger, which you used in the curse, right?

Aye, she be trying to give him peace, so he may leave Britannica in peace.

"She gave him the potion in: ‘The Horn of Kull’," Tom said evenly.

Merlin jumps to his feet with an agility Tom didn't expect in such an old-looking man. Nay, thee speaks lies, he shouts. Such an act wouldst cause her great harm.

His hand grips the knife again, and Tom forces himself to remain calm. She used the horn to make Cheldric rape her, so you'd curse him.

Lies, lies, lies, Merlin screams, then he lunges and lands on top of Tom, holding the knife at his throat. Betoken me, Merlin said in a soft, yet sinister tone, wherefore I shouldst not kill thee anon?

"They carried out ‘The Rite of Osiris’ on him, Merlin, Tom said evenly. They used your curse. A curse from the most powerful wizard known to man, to kill their enemies in the fae."

"Nooooo," Merlin whispers, his eyes watering.

Your curse will lead to the eventual death of five great fae races—Trolls, Goblins, Faeries, Brownies, and Gnomes.

Sweat is forming on the old man's forehead. I hast never heard such foul treachery, he said, in a low voice, cracking.

Merlin rolls off Tom, drops his knife, and sits in stunned silence, trying to understand what Tom is telling him.

They kept Cheldric prisoner until you retired to Avalon to be near your King, Tom said, feeling his heart pain for the old man. Then Morgan enchanted this place so it disappeared from life. With you gone, they did the ritual, and set their plan in motion.

Merlin sat silently still, Tom doesn't know what he's thinking or whether he even believed him. Merlin suddenly chuckles at the irony of their predicament.

    "So the kin
