The Story

Each town, city, or populated area has some distinctive place that it tries to hide from the rest of the world, and sometimes, from the citizens that live there. Whether it be an abandoned amusement park, a cemetery, a haunted house or school, an old chapel or even just the dense woods around them. The fact of the matter is that no matter how hard people may try to contain the rumors about ghosts, zombies, mummies, witches, werewolves and vampires hanging about the specified spooky area, the rumors will always still be there. The prospect being dangerous and enticing for young thrill-seekers while scary and uninviting for safety-sallies.

Now, whether or not the rumors are actually true is purely a case-by-case basis. Sometimes they really are just superstition, brought on by money hungry con-men or by children that have watched too many horror movies and sense an unrest in the air. But other times, these places truly are haunted, guarded, or are simply being watched by the supernatural. And if the supernatural are to blame, the matter changes to being able to guess which creature is residing in the designated Spooky Area.

In the case of Wrenville, Wyoming; the inhabitants were certain that their spooky area, the Wren Woods, was indeed being ruled by something... wicked...

A few miles away from the Wrenville boarder, there was a little cabin in the Wren Woods. An old, decrepit rotting-wood shack that was infested with spiders, snakes and a few bats after a decade of disuse.

Once upon a time, it had been used as a sort of private get-away for whomever owned it; definitely meant for a lover of nature. Of course, once the idea that the woods it resided in were haunted, well... it became abandoned faster than you could say ghost bait.

It was hardly the home you wanted, especially if you were just starting your life, but unfortunately, no one had told a young naive girl that.

Cedric. the impatient girl called, her voice ringing throughout the undesirable house. Have you finished unpacking the bottles yet?

I'm getting to it! an equally annoyed voice called back. Hold your broomstick!
