CA Middleton is a father and grandfather who has always enjoyed making up tales. Words Matter Publishing published his first novel, a twisted supernatural, The Custodian: Circle of Sorrow, two years ago. Merlin Emrys awoke in his usual foul mood.1 The wizard knew, as always, 2 the futility of attempting to escape. Yet, with long in-grained stubbornness, 3 he tried anyway.4 Fifteen hundred long5 years had passed since his one-time apprentice, Morgana, or The Harridan as he scathingly6 referred to her, 7 trapped him within his cold, uncomfortable8 crystal prism prison.9 Every conscious minute passed like an excruciating death knell.10 For the first few minutes
