The Word - Craig N. Wells

    Chapter 1

-Ready Or Not, Here I Come-

Ready or not, here I come. That saying is from a childhood game called Hide-and-Seek. It’s also what Holy Spirit is saying about the Word, the Word’s revelation, and the Word’s power. You know, it doesn’t have to be like a game of hide-and-seek, because God’s Rhema Word is not hiding, and it’s not escaping your reach of understanding and knowledge. It’s there for the receiving, it’s there for the asking, and it’s there for the believing. Rhema is a Greek word referring to a word that is spoken, ‘an utterance.’ It is also a Scripture that Holy Spirit draws you to and that can be applied to a present situation or needed direction. The Holy Spirit brings revelation to particular Scriptures that speak directly to you in your everyday walk with the Lord. God’s holy, revealed Rhema Word is coming forth now unto man∼ not yesterday, not tomorrow∼ but Now. Believe it. His Word is like a bright ray of sunshine on a cloudy day. It’s like a tall, cool glass of sweet tea on a hot summer day; it’s refreshing and rewarding. And it is upon you Now. It is not hiding, it is not lurking around the corner, it is here. It is here for the believer and it is coming forth in all of its power, truth, and revelation. Get this in your spirit. Speak over yourself that His Word is upon you Now!!! Begin to believe that miracle-working power, knowledge, and authority will be transferred to you. It all starts with allowing the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit to be revealed fully to you. Rhema or not, here I come. So get ready for His Rhema Word∼ Ready or not, here It comes!!

You can accomplish anything by the Word and the Spirit in this life. God wants His word to have its rightful place of authority in your life. As the rhema word of God starts to saturate your mind, body, and soul, it will begin to transform you into a powerhouse of God’s will and plan in the earth. Our King Jesus is always looking to identify with His Word. He is always looking to accomplish His Word, and show forth His might and glory.

    Isaiah 55:11

So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.-Amplified-

The Father declares and decrees His own word in the earth, so should you be like your Father. You as a believer should begin to meditate on the Word, study the Word, pray in the Holy Spirit over the Word, and inquire of your heavenly Father the spiritual revelation and power of the Word. It is not enough just to memorize it. It is not enough just to study it. While these are great practices of your Christian walk, by themselves they don’t produce the full potential of the might and power that is hidden inside of the Word, waiting for the believer to unlock its full use and gifting. The power to unlock its secrets and mysteries is inside of you. You can look at the Word as a cavern full of treasures, just waiting for you to go digging into so you can keep all the jewels, gold, and precious things that you find. All of this is accomplished by you as the believer having faith in the now word of God.

We have read in Isaiah 55:11 that your Father speaks and then receives exactly what He spoke. You can also begin to speak and receive the very thing that you speak by the rhema word of God. His Word is not a magical wand that you just wave around, speak something, and poof∼ there it is. Instead it is the very revelation and knowledge of God’s will, plan, and desire for you that is coming out of your mouth, speaking to your situation and circumstance, and causing it to come in agreement with the authority of the Word.

The Word is for the believer. The Word says that eye has not seen nor ear heard what God has in store for the believer; but it has been given unto you

to know the mysteries, the might, and the will of God.

    I Corinthians 2:9-10

(:9) But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

(:10) But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Verse 10 says: ‘But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.’ It is so important sometimes to just go back to the basics of getting the revealed word of God. Pray in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, and, yes, pray in the Spirit. It is the incubator of faith in the Word. It is the seasoning of the Word; it gives the Holy Spirit time to saturate your spirit with His Spirit and begin to dig out the deep things of God within the Word.

    Romans 8:26-28

    (26) Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

(:27) Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

(:28) And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

The Word and the Spirit go hand in glove; it’s a perfect fit to accomplish the task at hand. Praying in the Spirit is the catalyst of faith upon the Word, and the Word is the building block of faith in your spirit. Together nothing is impossible. His word cannot be contained by mere obstacles, problems, or even personal defeat. His Word shall forever be alive, vibrant and strong, showing forth His glory and power and giving you authority in this life. By His Word you can shout like David, you can run through a troop, and leap over a wall. Declare this right now, ‘In the name of Jesus, I can run through a troop, and I can leap over a wall. Nothing shall be impossible for me.’ All you need to do is get the rhema word of God, declare it, believe it, and receive it.

    Psalm 18:28-30

    (28) For You will light my lamp; The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

    (29) For by You I can run against a troop, by my God I can leap over a wall.

    (30) As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

    Word Note

By receiving the rhema Word of God, you will begin to build your faith. By ever-increasing faith working in your life, you will begin to move and accomplish things of the Word of God by the Holy Spirit. And by the Holy Spirit, the Rhema Word of God will be revealed to you and within
