Waya and the Wolves

About this ebook
What follows is inspired by a Cherokee legend called the two wolves a legend that changed my life for the better and now i hope the same for you:
Hundreds of years ago through the mountains not yet touched by Western possessive culture, lived the wise Cherokee in harmony with nature around a pristine lake.
We will not concentrate on the geographic area or their history but we will focus on him. Do you see him? It’s that little boy, skinny with long black hair, who stays hidden by that big tree; yes him on the right next to the tiny tent, near where the horses are free.
Do you think he is a thief, even if he’s trying to sneak out to take a horse? It’s not theft because it’s his horse.
I tried to stop him, but he’s not listening to me. Why I didn’t tell the others?
Because they can’t hear me, the only one who can hear my voice is him because, excuse me I forgot to introduce myself; I am his Conscience.
But this time I think he will do something worse because he didn’t sleep all night because he cried listening to Sleeper. What? Who is Sleeper?
You never heard of Sleeper? You mean you don’t know him? Well, I don’t think so, I don’t know one of you that is reading or listening to this story, but I know for sure that you know Sleeper.
OK, I will tell you the other name but only because you didn’t understand who he is, but I will say it once and when that’s over, I will not repeat it again. His name is: The Unconscious.
I prefer not telling him like this because he has nothing to do with ’’conscious’’, he’s so irresponsible that he can hurt and cause regret but still hurt; he behaves more like one that sleeps.
Both of them are the voices in every child, teenager or old person's heads.
What voices?
Those that contradict when a part of you wants to do homework in order to finish it, after that, to play. The other part wants to play first then to do homework, or not do it at all and to find a good excuse. Guess who’s Sleeper and who’s Conscience?
