His eyes shot open, his twitching body in a cold, sticky sweat. As always. Through the blurriness, Staphan strained for a vision from the promised above, a glimpse of his other world reward, yet slowly came to focus on the reality of painted steel pipes snaking across the high ceiling.

Oh God, please help me, he barely heard his own voice, a voice that veered sharply back on itself, transforming into a snarl…
