Even though we don't share a common verbal language something magical happens when your soul meets with the warm, trusting nature and intelligence of a dog. All they ask for is kindness, compassion and a regular meal. In return they will be with you through the trials of life, your best friend, always loyal and always has your back when the road gets rough.

A dog makes a house a home and completes the family. A person with the love and understanding of dogs is a person I can trust and relate to, I'm sure you feel the same way.

    Introduction

If you're reading this I can guess that you've either lived or worked with dogs. We don't call them man's best friend for nothing. Since the very dawn of civilisation man has shared his life with our canine friends.

This book is a collection of 12 true stories that we hope illustrate just why life is always enhanced by having a dog around.

The relationships we have with our dogs are as real and intense as any we have with our family and friends or partners, many would say more important in a lot of ways.

The Stinson family oohed and awed along with the crowd as the night sky exploded with color. The Fourth of July was always fun and exciting. The kids were still going on about the thrill of the grand finale when Chris pulled the van into their driveway. They walked into their suburban home, happy and content. When Denise turned on the lights in the living room, silence fell, even amongst Chloe and Dillon.

The living room was in complete disarray. The lamp was knocked over, the couch had been moved, articles on bookshelves were strewn about the floor. Then is hit them.

Oh my God, where’s Sasha?! Denise gasped.

Their usually bubbly and jubilant boxer, Sasha never missed an opportunity to greet them at the door, even if they had only been gone for a few minutes. Confusion gave way to fear and panic. Sasha was nowhere to be seen.

Denise! Come here! Chris called. Much of the rest of the house resembled the living room, with various articles strewn about.
