Bien entendu, il s’agit de Marcien Towa (1931–2014), un brillant philosophe reconnu pour son inlassable combat, non seulement pour le progrès et l’apologie de la raison, mais aussi contre la mission civilisatrice de l'occident en Afrique. Malgré toutes les intimidations surtout politiques, Towa est resté fidèle à ses principes de vie jusqu’à sa mort, le 2 juillet 2014. En tant qu’Africain et humaniste convaincu, l’éditeur a invité les philosophes de plusieurs pays à collaborer avec lui, afin de rendre un hommage de reconnaissance et de remerciement à leur illustre contemporain Marcien Towa pour son travail remarquable accompli au service de la raison.
This book project is intended to eulogize an outstanding hero of African intellectual history. It is, of course, Marcien Towa (1931-2014), a brilliant philosopher known for his tireless fight, not only for the advancement and advocacy of reason, but also against the civilizing mission of the West in Africa. Despite all the above political intimidation, Towa has remained true to its principles of life until his death on 02/07/2014. As an African and convinced Humanist, the editor has invited philosophers of different countries to work with him to make a tribute of gratitude and thanks to our illustrious contemporary Marcien Towa for his remarkable work in the service of reason.
