Joe Montana
Born: June 11, 1956
Place: New Eagle, PA
Known as Joe Cool
for his calm demeanor under pressure, Joe Montana guided the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl championships and accumulated more career accolades than any other current Hall of Famer. Growing up in a small coal mining town in western Pennsylvania, Montana played all major sports and was even offered a basketball scholarship from North Carolina State before deciding to attend Notre Dame. Beginning his sophomore year, after roaring back to defeat two consecutive opponents with just minutes remaining on the clock, Montana displayed the clutch athletic talent that would carry him into his professional career.
Career Passing Statistics
In 1980, Montana clinched his first game as a starting Quarterback with the 49ersagainst the New Orleans Saints, reversing a 35-7 deficit in the first half to win 38-35 in overtime. This marked the first of 31 times in Montana’s 16 years with the NFL that he charged to victory from a 4th quarter deficit or tie. The first Super Bowl ring came in 1981 following a franchise season record of 13-3and a dramatic NFC championship against the Cowboys that saw The Catch
, a memorable touchdown pass into the hands of the leaping receiver Dwight Clarkwith 51 seconds remaining on the clock. The rest of the 1980’s would belong to Montana as he collected three more Super Bowls, nine Pro-Bowls and a multitude of other recognitions before being inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2000.

Tom Brady
Born: August 3, 1977
Place: San Mateo, CA
Still active as of date in the NFL, Tom Brady has led the New England Patriots to four Super Bowl championships, six Super Bowl appearances and thirteen Division titles. A star athlete in high school, the native Californian turned down an offer to play baseball for the Montreal Expos and instead chose to pursue football at the University of Michigan. Following initial frustrations, the last two years in collegewitnessed Brady start in every game, eventually posting a 25-5 combined record in the final two seasons, including victories at the Citrus Bowl and the Orange bowl.
Career Passing Statistics
Selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft, Brady has played with the same team throughout his professional career, fillingthe charts with a multitude of records. 2007 saw him throw 50 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions, culminating in a perfect 16-0 seasonperformance. That year, regarded as the best passing season for any Quarterback in NFL history, he took home the league MVP but succumbed to the Giantsat the Super Bowl. After defeating the Seattle Seahawks to claim Super Bowl XLIX, he matched his childhood hero Joe Montana (#1) and Terry Bradhaw (#10) as the only Quarterbacks to earn four championship rings. In a much-hyped media story that became known as Deflategate
, Brady receiveda 4-game suspensionfor allegedly deflating the ball during the 2015 AFC championship.
