Children Know Success. Do You?

About this ebook
My life changed the day I realized the key to
becoming successful. After careful observation of their
actions and engaging in meaningful conversations with my
preschoolers, I discovered I needed to discuss my goals
with friends and continue to observe my children’s
viewpoint of the world, instead of watching the news.
Even through the process of earning two Bachelors
degrees and a Masters degree in Education, combined with
some military training and a vast amount of life
experiences, I didn’t truly know success. These experiences
didn’t prepare me how much life-changing knowledge my
students would teach me. Children can teach each and
every one of us a wide variety of spectacular lessons, but
the greatest lessons they provide are about success. All we
have to do is listen, watch and learn from children. This book
dives into this great world and teaches more then one can imagine.

Introduction
Success looks different for every person. For some, it may come in the form of spending quality time with one’s family or friends, while for others, it might be achieving pure happiness. For me, it is helping as many people as possible while acquiring as much wealth as I can. The two biggest motivators in my life are, and have always been, achieving wealth and helping others. To some, this may seem a little far-fetched because some believe the drive for financial riches is selfish. Although this can be true, it isn’t for everyone. Over time, I was capable of mapping out the road necessary to reach my goals. It all started when I thought I could change the world by becoming a teacher.
I sincerely believed young children had the most potential to learn and that I could be a positive role model for them. In a matter of weeks, my perspective drastically changed. I went from thinking I had a lot to offer children to realizing I actually had more to learn from them! By becoming a preschool teacher, I was able to explore the world from a child’s perspective while simultaneously pursuing my other goal of gaining financial riches through my various part-time jobs.
Although being a teacher did not provide me with an abundance of financial wealth, I continued to teach because I knew I could learn a great amount from my students during my time as a teacher. When I realized my classroom of three- to five-year-olds could teach me more about success and obtaining my goals than I could teach them about life, I knew it was worth dedicating most of my time and energy to these tiny yet brilliant human beings. In a short time of observing their interactions with each other and the world around them, I knew that they understood life better than anyone who was teaching them about the world they were living in.
My life changed the day I realized the key to becoming successful. After careful observation of these young children’s actions and engaging in meaningful conversations with them, I discovered I needed to discuss my goals with friends and continue to observe my children’s viewpoint of the world instead of watching the news. Even through the process of earning two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in education, combined with some military training and a vast number of life experiences, I didn’t truly know success. These amazing experiences didn’t prepare me for how much life-changing knowledge my students would teach me. Children can teach each and every one of us a wide variety of spectacular lessons, but the greatest lessons they provide are about success. All we have to do is listen to, watch, and learn from them.
The mindset and insight of a child will give you the answers you need no matter what your definition of success is. For example, in striving for financial success,
