    Dedication

I dedicate this book to three people who I loved dearly, who were very close to me, and who passed away: my cousin Leonard William Billy Faggs—we were close friends since age 5; my cousin Denise Nee Nee Burns—we were close since age 10; and, finally, Andre Harris, who was a childhood friend when I was growing up in the Bronx, NY. We played basketball together and, in later years, we supported each others’ dreams.

    Acknowledgements

I would like to thank the Creator, who continues to guide me. I would also like to thank the authors who shared the financial aid success stories discussed in this book. Their contributions help support the reality that families can secure a free college education today by using available resources.

    Author’s Note

Most of us have gone to a movie or sat down at a restaurant after hearing or reading someone else’s positive words about the experience. Whether the recommendation came from a friend or a professional critic, it was the opinion of someone we respected that led us to check things out (or avoid checking things out) for ourselves. In today’s world, we can find internet reviews posted on almost every consumer topic, from apartment living to quality auto mechanics, but these reviews aren’t always from the most qualified sources. Isn’t information about college – one of the biggest investments you’ll ever make – just as important as a good repair job?

As a veteran in the cash-for-college game that I discussed in my first book, I’m not only familiar with strategies that work, I’m inspired by some of the published stories about others who have used these strategies. No doubt, there are a lot of untold success stories about people who’ve used the hustle mentality to fund their education, but those who share their game plans leave behind a valuable record. This book review pulls together all of the best examples of effective college cash-seeking and explains what made them work. Like a blog you read before sitting down at a new restaurant, use it as your guide to good HU$TLING! By the time you turn the final page, you can be one step closer to the classroom.
