    Chapter 1

    The Pawn

His name was Dominic. His last world had been a world of chaos. He had fought against an ideology which challenged everything having to do with the conformity of a very obeying do as you are told hegemony; a way of thinking majorly imposed by the ideology belonging to a few. This had become a crazy world where no one like him, a non conformist willing to do anything possible against this imposed ideology, would ever be able to win.

Dominic had held a very high position in the department of security and gotten regular briefings which enabled him to foresee what the entire population would soon undergo if nothing was done to change this; Dominic joined several troop pilots who secretly worked against the Ones.

He joined the non conformists. After a lengthy briefing that added to his information making the situation even more real was a look at the group strategy to stop the Ones.

After he read and agreed to a series of rules and the group’s operating procedures, he then took their oath in front of the group members. The oath consisted of three Latin words: Libertate in perpetuum!

The goal of the Ones was complete mind enslavement of the population. Many scientists, under duress, were gathered together in order to find a solution which would address the type of behaviour that was considered to be unacceptable. They finally succeeded and secretly with diligence created a program and put it into motion.

The first phase of this universal program named One began to operate not long after with the setting up of brain washing/re-education, mind tuning stations near most of the populated centers of Earth. They had a second and equal purpose of catching the hard core non conformists who continued to disobey their rules thus impeding them in their quest to influence the general population to become completely submissive and fully under their control.

This operation could only be done during the between lives period and until this phase was completely achieved, Phase Two could not take place; Phase Two meaning the robotizing of all humans to a point where the between lives stage would no longer be necessary. They would never need to undergo this transformation again. Humanity at that point would become immortal.

Being ordered to gather people from the refusal to go along section of the population in specific selected areas, it became clear to Dominic that once dropped in the areas allocated, all in intensively hostile locations, that they would have no chance of enduring the hardships of this environment and were going to be left there to die. They were people from all levels of society; they all had one thing in common, they strongly believed in their liberty and being able to live a life without others including the authorities interfering with them.

Their disagreement was not welcome and completely unacceptable to the Ones. The area that they would have been confined to was to a great extent polluted and people previously sent there had not survived. At that point, when they arrived at the between lives area, the mind modification program would be imposed.

Non conformity had become Dominic’s operating basis against the rulers. Instead of following orders, he brought the group of refusal to go alongs to an undisclosed safe location where they could survive away from the authorities. This location had been built in a secure well hidden location by the resistance group he had joined.

He refused to become an accessory to committing mass murder. He disobeyed the Ones.

He returned to the authority headquarters and confirmed that he had successfully carried out the mission. Later that day, Dominic, realising that they would soon
