Does My Course Look Fat? 5 Ways to Maintain a Healthy Online Course - LaTasha Hussey
Acknowledgments
I would especially like to thank my husband, who always knows the right thing to say to keep me motivated and away from cookies. He is and always will be my biggest fan. I love you more than all the words in all the languages in the universe. Without his support and the encouragement from my family, friends, and colleagues, this book would not have been possible. I appreciate you so much, and I will forever be grateful.
Nothing Fancy Here
I've been teaching for about 13 years and have spent the last six years teaching online. I've worked in distance education for roughly seven years now and have helped hundreds of faculty members. The information that I am about to share with you should be straightforward, easy to understand, and quick to implement. It's a foolproof way (in my opinion) of making sure that your online course maintains its health.
I am in no way claiming to be an expert in all things regarding online learning, and this is not a comprehensive plan. In fact, I am still learning and experimenting with different techniques. I assume that you have some experience with online learning, which is the reason you are reading this book, although the title alone may have sparked your curiosity. What I'm sharing with you are the things I have personally found helpful through trial and error. I’m sure some of you will have questions about where I get my information, or how or why I chose to do it this way versus that way. I'm here to tell you that I do not have any fancy facts or super-awesome statistics, cool charts, or dazzling diagrams to share. I
