About this ebook

Some tasks that stray outside the bounds of the law require a pirate’s help. But when you deal with a pirate, be ready to give up anything...

Captain Jack, pirate (although he prefers “privateer”), is having a quiet drink in the local tavern on shore leave. But when the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen steps into the tavern, he recognizes immediately that she’s out of her element. Jack’s got a hell of a nose for opportunity, and this reeks of it. He just has to get to this woman before the other lowlifes in the tavern can beat him to it.

Ana, the young noblewoman, never dreamed that one day she’d be hiring a pirate. But with her inheritance stolen and the butler making his escape by sea, she sees no other choice. Jack seems willing to help, and there’s something about that gleaming, easy smile of his. But he and Ana need to strike a bargain. And with his eyes fastened on the scooping neckline of her dress, Jack’s after more than just gold...

The first chapter of The Pirates’ Deal, this sexy pirate thriller is guaranteed to leave bosoms heaving and masts at full sail! Keep out of the reach of cabin boys - this is for mature audiences only!

    CHAPTER 1

As soon as the woman stepped into the tavern, every single eye was upon her.

It wasn’t completely unheard of to see a woman in the drinking establishment, of course. Any time a group of men gathered, especially with flagons of beer being served, there was a call for wenches. Women found jobs as the barmaids, passing out tankards and collecting coin, learning to flirt and flash their bosoms without being snared by the grabs of the drunken sailors. Women were by no means a rare sight.

    But this woman was different.

    This was a lady.

As soon as he spotted her, looking up as a hush fell over the rest of the tavern, Jack knew that she was different. While the tavern wenches dressed in dirty dresses, cut with slits to show off their curves and assets, this lady’s dress was high-necked and covered in lace and ruffles. It was already starting to be stained with dirt, but it looked to be otherwise clean and tailored. This lady had money.

She also had a curiously determined expression on her face. Most of the rich visitors to the tavern left in short order - sometimes still with their purse, but more often without. And occasionally with a brand new mouth opened up across their throat. Sometimes, they were looking to make a hire, to find a captain and crew willing to take on dishonest work for honest coin paid under the table. Other times, they were looking to cut loose, to live like the commoners. Those were the wealthy that usually ended up with their throats slit.

But this lady didn’t match either of these categories. She looked unprepared, out of her depth, but still determined to try and forge ahead. Her high cheekbones stood out and her jaw looked set, as though she was holding back her fear with determination.

Jack knew that if he didn’t act, she was going to be eaten alive.

He sprang up out of his seat, hurrying forward, dodging and weaving his way through the crowded tavern. But as fast as he moved, the woman was already fighting off several drunk and handsy privateers by the time he reached her.

Ye’re a cute little thing, ain’t ye? wheezed one man, reaching
