Marcia Grady climbed out of her brand new Toyota Celica, fresh off the lot. The tall blonde was sure 1979 was going to be a great year, better than any of her years in high school and college. She had always been a good student and popular. Cheerleader and class president in high school. Homecoming queen and a cheerleader in college. She had been a tall willowy blonde, but over the years, her figure had filled out some. Marcia’s measurements were now 36/22/36. The short light blue dress had a high collar, but tastefully showed off her curls. Her legs were long and shapely. Her silky blonde hair now fell to her slender waist. The beautiful face and perfect figure had been an asset in high school and college.

But not in her new job.

Marcia Grady was a rookie cop. The twenty-three year old blonde was determined to be a success at this. The young blonde wanted to be a detective. Like always, Marcia had a plan. The tall blonde walked into the family home and called out, Hi, I am home!

Everyone is out, Pam Grady said, looking over the top of her book. She was the younger sister. Worse, she was the middle sister, the forgotten sister. She had cut it, which had been a mistake. Pam was into her fifth year of college and hopefully would get her degree this year. Of course, she had do her first two years at a city college because the family couldn’t afford three kids in a university at same time. It didn’t help that Pam was studying English. As far as her parents were concerned, the only job she could get with that was teaching.

Not that there was anything wrong with that.

Pam looked up at the sister whose shadow she had always been in her entire life. Marcia, in
