PROLOGUE

Julie

Julie Lock sat on her bed contemplating the last ten years of her life, At the age of sixteen with no sign of being a shifter, my parents knew that I was a latent, never to be able to shift into cat form and there for would never be mated. I would be shunned and sent away, so my parents had said that they would arrange for me to go and be married to man that would not care whether I was able to shift or not. I trusted my parents to make a good match for me, after all they love me right.

Little did I know that because I couldn’t shift they didn’t really care what happened to me! They had never been very affectionate for parents but they had never been cruel to me either, which was I thought until I found that they had sold me to the Beta of a wolf pack, Neil Carter. At that tender age of 16, they packed my things and in the dead of night they took me to meet him, he seemed pleasant when we meet but seemed a lot older than me, he put my belongings into his car and let me say good bye to my mom and dad, not that they were that bothered.

When my parents left he took me to his car and open the door like the perfect gentleman, we drove for about an hour. Neil ask me,

Can you get under the blanket on the back seat I want to get to our house without being stopped as I need to talk to my Alpha before anyone see’s you, ok? Julie nodded and got into the back of the car and put the blanket over her. I should have known that there was something funny going on then but being naive as I was, I didn’t even ask why that Neil hadn’t asked the Alpha before even bring me here. He took me into the house and down some stairs opening a door at the bottom there was a large room with a sofa, small table with a chair, TV, a wardrobe and a double bed. He carried my things through the door and placed them on the bed.

This will be your room but you must keep quiet until I say ok. Neil walked back to the door, I‘ll let you get settled in and see you in the morning and please don’t leave this room ok. He says and leaves closing the door behind him.

The next day Neil told me that I was to keep house for him, I was to cook and clean and stay inside and not answer the door to anyone which was funny in its self. That was fine with me if that was all I had to do. I never thought to question what would happen later. Well that lasted until I was twenty one, that night he came back in a funny mood. He was smiling more than normal and he kept watching me as he ate the meal I prepared for him but, when he was finished he turn to me smiled and said,

Come here. Julie walk over to where Neil was sitting,

It’s you twenty first day is it not? Julie answers,

Yes, why?

I have a surprize for you, Neil says. I smile a little smile but, I didn’t know the trouble I was in for,

Why thank you, Julie says. Neil smiles but it’s sort of maniacal,

Go down stairs and I’ll bring it down to you in about fifteen minutes ok, Neil says. I nod and walk down to my quarters.

Later Neil comes down and hands me 12 inch square box, about 5inch in depth with a red bow on top.

Go on open it, he says excitedly. I open the bow and pull the top off, I see a red negligee with a G string, my mouth drops open.

Go put it on, he argues me.

I can’t wear that it’s to revelling, I say.

Why not, it’s in your size, Neil says snappily.

It’s not that it won’t fit, it’s not something I would wear, I answer. He walks over and lifts my chin with his thumb and finger,

YOU WILL GO into the bathroom and put it on now, Neil says though gritted teeth. I should have known there and then that I was in big trouble.

No I won’t it reveals too much, Julie answers. In the next instant Neil’s large hand slaps me.

You ungrateful girl, I buy you a lovely nightie and you won’t wear it for me. Now I will say this once, you will do and wear what I tell you to, do you understand, Neil says looking at me with his eyes narrowed with a cruel scowl on his face. I nod holding my hand to my face. I couldn’t understand what was going on, Neil’s never shown any interest in me sexually before so why now. He’s got to be at least 200 years old as he has already started ageing, looking over 45 means that as a shifter when stop ageing at thirtyish and don’t start ageing again until they reach 200 so he is well over that.

I go into the bathroom still in shock at what just happened and close the door behind me, I stand there not moving for a couple of minutes wondering what to do. Then I hear Neil’s voice say,

Don’t keep me waiting Julie because I won’t be happy. I start taking my clothes off and placing them in the chair in the corner, I pulls the negligee out of the box and put it over my head it’s soft and slides down over her body, it stops way above my knee, I take the G string out and pull it on. Apart from the triangle at the front it wasn’t worth wearing them, she heard Neil moving around as I reach for the handle on the door. Walking back into the room I stop short, he’s lying on my bed with just and pair of Y fronts on.

Well now don’t you look all grown up in that, Neil comments. I swallow, the way he was sitting there and looking me up and down, I started to panic never having been touched by a boy or a man other than a little peck of a kiss. Neil gets up and starts towards me, then walking all the way around me making noises of approval, I feel dirty and I didn’t want him to touch me, he’s old enough to be her great grandad.

Please don’t? I ask.

Don’t what, Neil says. Before I can answer his he trails a hand down my back and over my bum with a squeezes on check. I shivers as a knot forms in her stomach.

That’s what I don’t want you do, I answer.

Well that’s not going to work, I want what I paid for, I’ve waited long enough for my prize, I have waited five long years so I know that you’re an adult and not a child, I’m not a pervert Neil states as he stands the full length of me at my back, his thing poking in the middle of my back. I think you could have fouled me, I feel sick as he runs his hands up and down my arms, Julie goes to move away from him to put some space between them but he grabs a hold of me by my shoulders.

I’m going to explain this to you this once and only once, you will do this the easy way, or you will have it the hard way, which will mean you’ll be tied to the bed while I take what I want, Neil says with an evil smile in his voice. So what’s it to be, he asks? I don’t want to be tied to the bed so I answers,

The easy way, my voice betraying me, as to how frighten I really was.

Good were on the same page, Neil’s says

I was assured that you are a virgin so for your first time will by gentle but don’t expect me to be again do you understand? Neil asks. I nod unable to trust my voice.

Lye on the bed and don’t move. I get onto the bed trying not to shake too much, he pulls his trousers from the foot of the bed and pulls out a tube and climbs onto the bed next to me, his hands move over my body making my skin crawl. I close my eyes trying to think of anything but what he was doing. It wasn’t working as I hear him open the tube and squirts some on his hand. I shake my head to stop thinking about what happened next and push those thoughts away trying clear my head, and I can’t go there again.

It had gone on like that for the next five years but for the last couple of weeks or so, I hadn’t seen Neil, I think he’s gone after Donald. That was the old Alpha’s son, which was before Neil had conspired to have him and his wife killed that is. I had been eves dropping at the door, so he didn’t know that I knew that he arranged to have their car tampered with. That’s how Neil had become Alpha he’d taken out any opposition that was how underhanded he could be. To
