WATER
Words I never told you, unuttered words unspoken,
you must wait for in the spinning of the night,
from the heart, if to you I speak, words will be flowing
that have no sea wherein to die,
blood in every word you don't discover
words unable to say to my garden return.
Salted words, I have secrets guarded
in chests of crisis lost on the crossways
of my years, of your afflictions.
Exhausted, I extract words from the chaos
reclaim light, a will to fly
into the thousand pages of lifeless novels.
My words and my offer to you
are more than the rough and frightened body
I offer you night after night.
Forgive the words and let the words open,
the words, the words, mountains and suns.
Near the forest, the others are awaiting.
I TEAR UP TIME
Time, I tear it
and I fix it into the page.
The page has four sides
which makes it easier to arrange,
make notes, sew up and sweep the dust
my way.
If page by page
I make a list
then I have a book of time
one page after another, a year.
If I arrest the pages
and imprison them in
