Chapter 1 - Should you Take a Holiday?
If you are a person that is smack right into the middle class socio-economic cluster, then you may be one of those who think that they cannot afford to take a break. However, taking some days off from work can be a good idea, especially if you know that your body and mind feel like they need to take a break.
Why Take Holidays?
Since you are essentially not required to spend your day at work on a national or special non-working holiday, it may be the best time for you to step out of your workplace and take your much-needed vacation. After all, you have allowances in your contract to do that – paid time-offs are already a thing, and there is no reason why you should not take advantage of them.
Taking a break from work for a few days is actually recommended by many employers to the point that they are willing to pay you on top of your salary to get them. The reason is that people who take vacations are far more productive than those who spend mind-boggling hours inside their cubicles. People who are in the creative fields also offer fresh ideas right off the bat after coming from a vacation. If you do not believe that, then take a look at the stats: 40% of employers believe that their employees are much productive whenever they take holidays off, and only around 9% think otherwise.
