I
His eyes remained on her all night – the plump teenager in her black jeans which clung to her hips and the contours of her body all the way down to her ankles. A jacket, which looked more like a fisherman's net, hung loosely over her white baby-tees. He noticed a gold ring in her small navel; it inflated his desire to run his hands over her flat stomach.
Her straight black hair was pulled tightly into a ponytail which hung above her shoulders. Her unpainted face was round but formed a prominent peak at the chin. As she returned his gaze her tongue escaped from between her thick lips and slowly made its way from one side of her mouth to the other, tantalizing him.
He had seen her around before but she was never as desirable to him as she was tonight and he made up his mind that he was going to have a taste of her. It did not matter that she was just fourteen and he was almost four years older. She did not look like fourteen and she had the merchandise to prove it. Even as he stood in the corner of the room with a beer in his hand he could easily imagine himself with her, inside her, enjoying a sexual encounter.
They had never spoken at school and as she played with his ear that night she asked him something about his gold heart-shaped earring.
Do you have a girlfriend?
she asked later. He shook his head. I don't have a boyfriend either,
she volunteered.
That was some sort of signal, he reasoned. She must want him in the same way that he was lusting for her. Before the party was over he was going to get Sasha Harrison.
