Blonde and Blonder

I’ve known Kerry for about a year. She’s nineteen, and works as a receptionist at the gym I go to. As I try to get there twice a week, when pressures of work permit, I’d say we’ve got to know each other quite well. First of all it was nods of recognition, which later turned into a few words of welcome on her part; and, after a couple of months, smiles when I walked in through the door, followed by a longer chat. Not deep, meaningful conversations, of course, just banal social talk, just enough for each of us to know a little about the other’s life.

It’s always made my visits to the gym more enjoyable, though, because Kerry is extremely pretty. She has long, blonde hair – well, it’s really more like light brown, but she makes it blonde from a bottle – sparkling eyes and big, cherry-red lips that curve up into a delicious smile. Usually she wears just enough make-up to enhance her looks, rather than overdoing it; and she holds back on the jewellery, tending to go for small ear-rings, and with a stud in her nostril. A typical nineteen-year-old, I suppose.

But what makes her presence at the gym that much more interesting is that, as part of her employment package, she enjoys free membership, and quite often, if she isn’t sitting at the reception desk, she’s inside on the machines. She must use the facilities a lot, too, because she has the most incredibly fit body, even for a young woman of her age. It’s actually quite painful to watch her exercising, because she doesn’t go for baggy t-shirts and track-suit bottoms; instead she encases herself in lycra … and not much of it. This means that her figure is hard to miss, and I swear that the number of male visitors has increased since she began working out.
