About this ebook

The Wolf seeks a break from the world of burglary; when she goes to her Villa in the Italian Alps, she arranges to have one of her married neighbors waiting naked in her bed.

But her vacation is interrupted when that neighbor receives a call: her home has been burglarized while she slept with the Wolf.

It becomes clear the police won’t find the true thief—they focus their investigation on the victim’s husband. Being an expert on burglary, the Wolf launches her own investigation.

But the Wolf has more to solve than a simple mystery. She must heal her neighbors’ marriage—even though she enjoys sleeping with both, and looks forward to more such fun in the future. Unfortunately, the burglary has enlarged the existing strain on her neighbors’ marriage. Only the Wolf can solve both problems in one swoop.

This is a stand-alone story of the Wolf, but her exploits have appeared before, in “The Wolf Escapes,” “Service to the Nation,” “Apprentice,” “Art Lovers,” “Little Death,” and “Behind the Vault Door.”

Warning: contains explicit descriptions of adult behavior.

A.S. Peavey

A.S. Peavey began writing erotica in a micro caption-based form (which you can check out on Tumblr), before branching to explore the world of longer form stories and novels. Peavey is excited by the opportunities offered to expand on those shorter stories, and grasp what tugs at the libido. Peavey lives along the Rocky Mountains, going out to hike and bike when time and the weather allow.

    About the Author

Let me describe a house to you. It is nestled in the Italian Alps, above Lake Como. The nearest town, along the shore of Lake Como, is little more than an hour from Milan, and from there this villa is a twenty minute drive, mostly because the road is winding and must be taken slowly if one does not want to drive off a cliff, or at least find oneself on the side of a sloping hill. The house is set on a brief pause in that otherwise steep incline.

The house itself—well, Villa is the more appropriate word. Overlarge house is how it ought to be considered given how rarely it gets used and by how few people. A cleaner is required weekly when no one is home, just to keep up with the accumulating dust. And the house remains unoccupied more than half the year. Even when it is occupied, only the lower two of its three floors are ever used.

It is a medium-sized villa, if a villa can be so described. It is a long rectangular house, thin from front to back, except in the center where it bulges out in the rear. There are a few vines growing from the front of the house, flanking the main double door entrance.

Inside, the walls are filled with paintings. Some are worth a considerable sum, though none are true museum pieces. Others were purchased just for decoration. Many are even copies—excellent copies that would take the eye of an expert or at least a devotee of the artist or even of that particular painting to differentiate from the original.

But as beautiful as the art inside is, there is also the view down the mountain, towards Lake Como. The front grounds are almost entirely cleared of trees to provide that most spectacular view from most of the front of the house.

The Villa does everything it can to convince you it is centuries old, but it was built in the late 1800s. There is no reason to have a house up there besides vanity—and that was all the more true before the invention of the motor vehicle. There are a few small fields in amongst all the hills, but none that would provide enough space to cultivate anything worthwhile—those fields are better off for a picnic after a short hike.

The nearest neighboring villa further east on the slope of the same mountain lies a half mile away—by foot. If you are in good condition, the hike would take no more time that driving between the villas. The road requires driving over a mile downslope to the nearest junction, and then another mile back upslope.

In short, this villa is situated only to be a house for the rich, or those who at least want to play at being rich for a week.

No, this was not a target. This is my house. The place where I live when I’m not pulling heists (or at least one such home). The Wolf needs a nice place to relax when she’s not being the world’s most famous burglar.
