Moving into a new home always proves stressful, but moving into a mansion bigger than all the houses I’ve ever lived in combined left my head spinning. Growing up, I had daydreamed with my mother about her marrying a billionaire, but I’d never expected it to happen. And I didn’t reckon she would meet him while working at a museum of used props and costumes from old sci-fi television shows and movies. I mean, the geeks who filled the place failed to notice the cleavage showing in her low-cut tops. But, she did meet her billionaire, and I’d just unpacked the last box of the day of my belongings in my new bedroom in his house, a space with a closet and bathroom each larger than the last room I’d called my own.
