There was evidence that he had been stabbed.

We realized the man wasn’t English.

Before being thrown into the Thames, the killer/s had looked for something in his coat.

The murderer/murderers would probably have been seen by many pedestrians.

We have just been told that there was no passport in the body found.

We have begun to look for it.

By tomorrow we will have more evidences and will be able to find out who was/were the murderer/murderers.
