About this ebook
Writing is the most fulfilling thing that I have found to do in this life. Research is a big part of this. It's feels like a plant producing a fruit, if you can identify with that. Sometimes I feel like the tree that produces twelve fruits a year, a cranberry, an olive, a sour grape, a tomato, a grain of wheat, ... Some of these may not seem very filling but if you look at the ant and think like an ant you could have a real feast on any one of these, you could even invite all your friends.
This book is a collection of blurbs and short articles that I wrote since my first publication "The Other Side Of The Holy Cover" in 2014. Many of my blurbs are a reaction to some misconceptions that I heard expressed in the news on TV or online on various news and social sites. My main aim is to make my readers aware of the truth while staying in line with the teachings of the Bible to the best of my ability. It is a Christian view though I do not claim infallibility even though righteousness is a goal in my writing and I'm usually right.
It is my desire that students of the scriptures and disciples of Jesus find my observations and statements inspiring and that they will subsequently be lead to expand on these thoughts and go on to produce sermonettes, split sermons and even sermons or other works so that truth and knowledge may spread. Word of mouth is good too.
I struggled a bit for the title of this book. Not so much in finding a title, as I quickly came up with over thirty, but in choosing which one to use. I chose "Trumpet Blasts!" after a little friendly counseling. At this time I think it holds more global appeal and has more Biblical, religious and timely significance than my other titles for this book. I have plenty more titles for future works.

I took a road less traveled and learned to trust in God. I did not get a university degree but I did get a university education. Through the years I’ve taken courses at University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, Dalhousie University in Halifax where I gave three five minute lectures, Algonquin College in Ottawa, Mohawk College, CDI College and McMaster University all in Hamilton. The most significant course I took though was a Bible Correspondence Course through Ambassador College based in Pasadena California. Ambassador College, now defunct, was associated with the Worldwide Church of God which is now toting a totally different religion than when I was affiliated with them. I do not recommend it now. I spent a few summers in army camps during my high school years. Sold bread in the States one summer. Worked for the City of Bathurst surveying for three summers during my university years. Worked one summer surveying for New Brunswick Electric Power Commission in Dalhousie. Worked for a Land surveyor in Fredericton for a few months. Worked for a Land Surveyor in New Liskeard Ontario briefly. Worked drafting for a Land Surveyor in Calgary for five years. Worked as an Instrument Man and Party Chief for a Land Surveyor in Hamilton for over eleven years. Have done computer drafting and calculating for another Ontario Land Surveyor in Hamilton since 1999. I’ve traveled across the country from P.E.I to British Columbia. I have visited England, France, Germany, Greece, Turkey and Israel. I have also taken numerous trips to the U.S.A. notably to Ohio, New York, Kentucky, Indiana, South Carolina, Florida and California. In France I visited the port of La Rochelle where my original Canadian ancestor sailed from to come to Canada back near 1665. I also visited Croix Chapeau where he had lived. In Greece I went to the Acropolis, in Athens, where Paul, Christ’s disciple, was questioned by the Athenians concerning his knowledge. I also walked from the Acropolis to Socrates birthplace, I don’t recommend this to anyone. In Turkey I visited several of the places mentioned in the book of Revelation. I also saw where Philip was buried and where Mary the mother of Jesus lived, or so local tradition has it. In Israel, my most memorable and significant trip, I saw much of the country from the Mediterranean to the Golan Heights to the Dead Sea. I visited Armageddon, Nazareth, Galilee, Jerusalem, Masada and many other places. It gave me a new perspective and insight into Biblical places and events. Although I have had most of my education in engineering and spent most of my working life in surveying, my goals and interests lie predominantly in religion and my relationship with my Creator. I have read and studied the Bible and related material substantially since 1978. I was baptized in 1985. My primary visible work is my website. It can be found by searching for Jacques Gauvin in Google on the internet or at www.jacquesgauvin.com. Not too bad for a schizophrenic I’d say. Thanks for your interest and may your life be prosperous. Hope to see you in God’s Kingdom! Jacques Gauvin

About Jesus Christ
~~~~
Act Or Die
John 10:25–30 (GNB)
Jesus answered, I have already told you, but you would not believe me. The things I do by my Father’s authority speak on my behalf; but you will not believe, for you are not my sheep. My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me. What my Father has given me is greater than everything, and no one can snatch them away from the Father’s care. The Father and I are one.
Are You Dreaming?
The economy, banks, brokerages and governments, run predominantly on dreams.
Dreams drive business men and investors.
Try to get a bank loan without a dream.
Elections are won by appealing to the dreams of the electorate.
Dreams often lead people to live beyond their means.
A dream is often a socially acceptable substitute term for greed and covetousness.
Psalm 119:36
Give me the desire to obey Your laws rather than to covet.
Hebrews 13:5 (GNB)
Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.
Romans 1:28 (GNB)
Because those people refuse to keep in mind the true knowledge about God, he has given them over to corrupted minds, so that they do the things that they should not do. (The principle applies here.)
1 John 1:8 (NKJV)
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Colossians 3:17 (GNB)
Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father.
Ephesians 5:20 (GNB)
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, always give thanks for everything to God the Father.
Galatians 1:11 (RSV)
For I would have you know, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not man’s gospel.
Bent On Destruction
It seems like most of the prominent national, world politicians and religious leaders are headed down a path of mass destruction of people and cities in the near future. It is becoming increasingly obvious and alarming that:
Isaiah 59:8 (NKJV)
The way of peace they have not known, And there is no justice in their ways; They have made themselves crooked paths; Whoever takes that way shall not know peace.
Jeremiah 9:3 (NKJV)
And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,
says the LORD.
Micah 4:12 (NKJV)
But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, Nor do they understand His counsel; For He will gather them like sheaves to the threshing floor.
Job 24:13 (NKJV)
There are those who rebel against the light; They do not know its ways Nor abide in its paths.
Psalm 82:5 (NKJV)
They do not know, nor do they understand; They walk about in darkness; All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
Matthew 24:22 (NKJV)
And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
Book Sales In Perspective
This morning I was feeling a little sorry for myself. I was thinking that I probably put as much effort into producing a 600+ page book as anyone else who has done it, that some people have made millions on the sale of their book and that my $0.35 share of the revenue from the sale of one book to date after about six months seemed very much out of line considering that I consider my book of much greater than average importance, relevance and value. I prayed to God, trying to be very careful how I worded the contents of my mind, saying, surely my work is worth more than this
