Chapter One
Cool, wet ice splattered against the warm, gray wool of her coat. Savannah ticked a red, arched brow up and couldn’t keep a small smile from pulling at her full lips. She refused to turn around and look at the face of the perpetrator. A masculine chuckle enveloped her and if she turned to look into the handsome face with those stunning, stormy blue eyes, he would have her engaging in a full on snowball fight. And they simply didn’t have time to play games... there was so much planning to do.
You need to lighten up, little wolf,
Andre said, stepping closer, but watching for any sign of retaliation.
Her lithe form stood stalk still as wet slushy snow slid down her back, and eventually fell off the curve of her ass. Tight denim encased her long legs and shapely curves as calf high snow boots protected her feet from the biting cold and deep snow blanketing the ground.
You threw a snowball at my back.
Savannah tried like hell to sound irritated.
As alpha female and leader of the Montana faction of the North American Pack of Werewolves, she had gotten good at steeling her voice. Her Pack was comprised of mostly males and, as much as she loved them, they were a pain in her ass. Most of the time when they got out of line, she simply wanted to laugh at their testosterone fueled childishness, but she was a leader and discipline was part of the job. However, Andre was her weakness and she couldn’t seem to ever stay irritated or mad at the man... not that she was either at the moment. She was just stressed.
Andre’s voice was smooth and gentle yet still it held a lilt of command. Savvy... turn around and look at me.
No,
she snapped playfully, closing her eyes against the draw of his deep sensual voice.
She felt him stalking nearer, and her body lit with anticipation. Only when he stopped and showed no sign of moving closer did she finally turn to look at him. A wicked grin cut across his face and his fangs pressed against his full bottom lip. The sight sent a deep shiver down her spine. Not of fear... no, she learned long ago not to fear Andre’s fangs. Her vampire would never hurt her. Even her wolf knew that. The soft, purring growl that pressed against her chest and the pooling heat low in her belly told her that her wolf was enjoying this moment.
Andre moved lightening fast and had her pulled against his chest and his hands cupping her cheek in seconds. She actually growled this time... she hated that he was so much faster than her. He smiled and as soon as his lips brushed against hers, she found the stress and irritation fleeing from her body. Tipping her head to the side, he deepened the kiss, his tongue pushing past her lips to dance with hers.
Reluctantly, he pulled back and pressed his warm lips to her forehead. It
