Our Father will usher in peace and restore order to a heart that is troubled.

He wants to prepare you for your tomorrows so you can confidently speak His Word with authority and confront the issues of life with His power and might; and that is the hope and prayer of the author - that the reader will have a fresh and new revelation and understanding of the heart and message behind The Power of the Lord's Prayer.

The Lord’s Prayer is a prayer we simply learned without even knowing its purpose or even the heart of the prayer.

The Lord’s Prayer does have purpose. It is much more than a model to follow or a simple phrase to repeat; but sadly, it’s been reduced to a religious tradition. This prayer goes beyond the walls of tradition; it is a prayer that reveals Who our Father is and what He does. The introduction testifies of a relationship which has been restored from God to redeemed man: Our Father…

And Who is our Father? Our Father is a daddy. Our Father is One Who loves, gives counsel, shares and imparts His wisdom to His children; Our Father is One Who disciplines, cares and provides. Our Father is One Who picks up His children when they fall down and lets them know that everything is going to be okay, even when it continues to hurt.

With tender love in His eyes Our Father will always forgive His children no matter what they’ve done. He will never remind His children of their past failures, only of His forgiveness. He will never bring shame or reproach, embarrass or humiliate His children; but He will uplift them with strength and everlasting joy.

Our Father will insure that His children will have what they need in their time of need. Our Father will see His children through difficult times when they cannot see a way out. He is the God Who declared, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end [a future filled with hope]. (Jeremiah 29:11 KJV)

Our Father will usher in peace and restore order to a heart that is troubled. He will make His children laugh. Our Father will allow them to sit on His lap as they confidently rest in His care. He will tenderly hold them and speak of His never-ending love. He will defend His children against their enemies.

This is the essence of the Lord’s Prayer – the revelation of Our Father who art in heaven… It is the heart of the Father Who Himself is Love (I Corinthians 13). He is seated at a place of authority ready and willing to bless you, provide and lead you into His paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. (Psalms 23:3)

Our Father will lead and show you how He lives so you can follow His footsteps. He wants to prepare you for your tomorrows so you can confidently speak His Word with authority and confront the issues of life
