Introduction

In the book of Haggai, chapter 2, verse 9 reads:

The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, says the Lord of hosts.

I believe we are about to see and experience a move of God that will be greater in impact than the Jesus movement of the late sixties, greater than the charismatic renewal of the seventies, and even greater than the apostles of the early church had experienced.

God has not given up on His church, the body of Christ. Many prophets today are beginning to see a next great move of God on the horizon. It will be a move of born-again believers who understand who they are in Christ and believe in the body of Christ and its connection to the head, Jesus Christ.

Far too long, believers have been trying to do the works of God not as a body but as individuals. Even when we think in terms of a group of believers being the body of Christ, we see it as if the body is on earth and the head is in heaven. But in 1 Corinthians 6:17, it says, But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Note the word joined in the phrase joined to the Lord, not separated.

The body has been trying to do the promises of God without the head, and the results have been dismal. We seem to have no plan; everyone is doing what they think is good. I believe we are about to see a move of God—a new revelation of the body of Christ in its connection to the head, Jesus Christ, as He does the works, the promises of God, through us, His body!

In 2 Corinthians 1:20, it reads: "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." God wants to do it through the head, Jesus Christ, and He wants to do it through us, His body.

I believe every born-again believer will see that because of what the blood of Christ has made available to us, we now have access through the head, Jesus, to do the same great exploits of any great figure in biblical history. Jesus Himself said in John 14:12, Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

The body of Christ has never truly tapped into what Jesus has made available in any generation. But God says in Isaiah 43:19, Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Let's open our hearts and listen to the Holy Spirit whisper, leading us into the destiny of what awaits us.

The dream is that God has a body of believers that He could work through, that Christ, the head, could show the world what our heavenly Father is really like. This is how we experience the abundant life that Jesus promised. He is a God who does exceedingly, abundantly, more than we can ask or think according to the power that works in us.

That power is Christ, the head, working through us, His body! The power and the gifts were never meant only for a few in each generation. They would travel and show everyone what God could do through them, and all the other believers stood around and watched them. No! I believe what Jesus spoke of was for he who believes in Me.

Those men and women of God didn't see it like we do today. They thought God had given them this ability to show what God could do, but they never taught that you could do it too, and all because of what Jesus has made available.

The Holy Spirit is about to bring a revelation to the body of Christ through the understanding of our identity in Christ and that He, the head, does the works. Hebrews 10:23 states, Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Yes, He who promised is faithful!

The head gets the attention and recognition, and the body participates in a corporate move of God where everyone is so grateful and thankful that the world can't wait to come to be a part of it—not because of the pastor, not because of the programs, not because of the music and lights, or any other reason than God is doing something through those believers in Jesus's name.

I'm seeing it more and more. But in order to truly see it, you have to believe it's for you! Your identity in Christ is so important because without a proper identity in Christ, you will never walk in the fullness of what God has made available to you in Christ. That's why I wrote my first book, Born Again, Again, on discovering your new identity in Christ.

I'm telling you, when you get your true identity straight, you have no problem believing God's intended life for you!

This book is about that life—our naturally supernatural life.
