Scott's made some questionable decisions in his life. He'd been cheating on his wife, Erin, for a while, for starters. It was just one of the terrible things that he'd done, but it was probably the worst.

No, the worst was probably getting caught.

But he wasn't caught by his wife, no, his dear wife had no idea that he was out cheating on her, and he hoped that she would continue living on in that fantasy.

Scott, on the other hand, had to deal with the consequences to his actions.
