Today, he is no more, but he was God till May 2009. He was killed by the SASF. He unleashed a hunt on a National Leader by deputing his most trusted lieutenant, One-Eyed Mac, for obvious reasons, to execute the assassination plot in Tamil Nadu in 1991.

PREFACE

Reading Frederick Forsyth’s creation – ‘The Day of the Jackal’ in a class by itself. unputdownable’ was a story of President of the French Republic – Charles De-Gaulle was once faced an unsuccessful assassination ploy and later the assassin-Jackal a unnamed foreign tourist was eliminated by French Metropolitan Police officer in 1963.

A foreign terrorist organization chose to assassinate a national leader on Indian soil at the time of general election, which therefore we ought to regard as an insult to our national self esteem.

I was also disturbed with above assassination. My maiden venture on writing spec. script ‘One Eyed Mac-The Mastermind’ (Title Changed) was written in 2012 and got registered with The Film Writer’s Association-Mumbai. My sincere gratitude to them for accepting my job.

I saw a film ‘Kuttrapathirikai’ in Tamil, Directed by R.K.Selvamani. It was also based on assassination of National Leader. But story telling was not so appealing to me. But, the director had the courage of showing the reality. Even though, the film was not allowed for screening for long time.

Later saw ‘Madras Café’ The story line was almost on the same subject matter.

I wanted to tell the story in different way. This book is written in Spec. Script format, perhaps first time, if I am not wrong.

Why Indo-Buddha Desham accord in 1987, the seeds of anti Indian, anti Indian National Leader was main campaign of the then Tamil Ezham, spearheaded by TE Commander In Chief - Thiru Venkadam. The plan was hatched in 1987. After 4 Years the anti Indian, anti National Leader mindset of TE culminated to an end in 21st May, 1991, near Madras, presently Chennai.

It’s the story of, unarguably, one of India’s most beloved politician, who is still remembered as the man who brought the technology development to the country, Mr. Sanjiv Ratna. At a young age, he had reached great heights taking some grand decisions and some miscalculated. One wrong move, led to drastic consequences for a community which was already plagued with bloodshed, barbarism and a possibility of a wipe out. But did he really intend bad for this community?

It’s the story of this community which fought back against all odds, against all forces, for one simple reason – FREEDOM. They chose the most lethal weapon to make them heard. A HUMAN BOMB. A simple girl whose simplicity was snatched away, morality ripped apart, had heartlessly exploded in every Indian heart that lived on this day, killing Sanjiv Ratna, the hope of almost a billion Indians. But did it really bring her associates the freedom they wanted?

A country currently wounded by terrorism, scams and questionable governance had lost one of the most promising, charismatic and visionary leaders on that fateful day by a teenage girl, under an assassination conspiracy by the Mastermind - ‘One Eyed Mac-The Mastermind’; equally wounded by her own rights. Sanjiv Ratna & Human Bomb- Jhanu lost their lives in the interests of their motherland and yet their hopes of establishing stable lives are yet to be fulfilled to this present day.

The plot, the plan, the logistics, the betrayals, the trusts and most importantly, the people behind the most gruesome and most horrifying murder that cannot be even captured in school text books for the violent nature of its details; have been presented through the story.

It also brings unknown facts and anecdotes, collected from a broad spectrum of brains having memories of the assassination; presented in a gripping tale. The question in your mind will however, be unanswered.

Has the whole conspiracy, of such a big stature, gone down in vain, both for an oppressed society fighting for its survival , and for the people of a nation, hoping for mass development and a stabilized country through the future leader? Who benefitted from this?
