Foreword
A Little Prince in the Land of the Mullahs revives the little hero in the reader by telling the story of a brave young man who wants nothing more than to live the life that all boys and girls want: to be free, happy, and secure in his homeland. Unfortunately, the boy comes of age after the Ayatollah Khomeini has transformed Iran into a nightmare. The Ayatollah and his clerical followers enforce rules that make life impossible for any freedom-loving people. The Ayatollah does not allow free speech or freedom for people to gather and meet as they choose. The country, with a great history and civilization, becomes poor, with free and equal access to education denied to women and the clerics controlling what may be taught to everyone.
