Somewhere in a prison within a prison in the jungles of eastern Myanmar, a frail elderly woman prepares to begin her third year in isolation – with the prospect of living like that for the rest of her life.
If anyone on earth has the inner strength to survive such an ordeal, it is Aung San Suu Kyi. Seventy-eight now, it is more than 30 years since she was first put under house arrest; she has spent but the sound of her own voice.
