Introduction to This Book’s Author, Oleh Slupchynskyj, MD, FACS
Dr. Slupchynskyj is a Double Board Certified, Fellowship Trained Facial Plastic Surgeon that patients have trusted for years to help them attain their desired look. He recognizes the effects of aging as real and universal and that their earmarks such as excess skin sagging and the development of jowls and turkey waddle
take a toll on self-esteem. He has seen the restorative power of Rhytidectomy Surgery, better known as a Facelift, to turn back the hands of time as much as ten years and restore patients’ confidence. Consequently, he believes the idea that growing older is inevitable but aging is optional.
Not satisfied with the limitedness of the procedures that were available to him, as he saw them to be unable to satisfy the requests of many of his younger as well as international patients, Dr. Slupchynskyj developed the SLUPlift™. This innovative Mini Facelift made the benefits of a Traditional Facelift accessible to those whose age or other personal factors made the trauma associated with a full-scale Facelift too excessive for them to decide to undergo the procedure. This customizable Facelift has become his signature procedure and he has performed thousands SLUPlift™ since he developed the technique over a decade ago.

Hospital privileges grant a physician the right to use the facilities and equipment of a hospital. Not all hospital physician employees have these privileges, as they are subject to the discretion of the Chief of Medicine within each hospital and can easily be removed by the disciplinary board at anytime. Hospital privileges are discipline specific, so for example, a surgeon has the ability to book an operating room, but a general internist does not.
