    WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?

    Known as microdermabrasion in the salon, microneedling is the term for an at home treatment where tiny needles make microscopic punctures into the skin to rejuvenate the dermis and activate skin cells, explains Dr Salome Gurgenidze, a Johannesburg-based general practitioner who specialises in aesthetic medicine. The treatment boosts your skin’s ability to produce collagen and elastin, which help keep the skin supple and younger-looking.
