Unable to come up with a good response, I gave him a sarcastic smile and pushed past him to join the defense table.

As I went to sit down, I realized with a flush of resentful embarrassment that I was a little hard. Lewis Dremel had gotten me hard, and maybe he had known he was doing it, too. I forced myself not to look over at his lithe, confident form sitting down at the table across the aisle. It doesn't matter, I told myself. One strange little twinge won't stop you from beating him.
