Ecstasy

it is what it is

and what will be will be

but now there’s me and love

somewhere between earth and sky

all else falls aside as love wraps me in wings

and carries me away, enraptured, to the space beyond my dreams

past all desire or any thought of want or need

into a realm of peace, joy and ecstatic communion with all that is

under and intoxicating spell

the weaver of dreams

writes me into his story

his love-magic is strong

as I struggle against

his web of words

they chant like a mantra

enfolding me in emotion

seeking to become my own

this weaver knows my weakness

drumming his heartbeat along

the invisible lines that connect us
