Alan Valiant

Alan Valiant was born in 1920 in Montreal, Canada and served in the Royal Air Force for fourteen years, including the Battle of Britain and the invasion of Normandy. After the war, he worked as a research and development engineer at the Royal Aircraft Establishment at Farnborough in Hampshire. My Conversations with Jesus Christ by Alan Valiant 

Within a relatively short space of time after I had developed an efficient method of communication with the spiritual world, as described in my book, How to Talk with the Dead, I was addressed by Jesus Christ Himself. The first conversation was as thrilling and exciting to me as it was undramatic and it took place in 1976.

After a brief conversation on general topics with my Guide, Abe, formerly a Jewish gentleman, I asked him, out of curiosity, if he had seen Jesus Christ. The reply was in the affirmative. I then asked if He was there. There was a pause of about twenty seconds and then my hand began to write. I could sense that it was a different personality writing through me and that which followed confirmed it.

Good evening to you Alan my dear friend. I am Jesus Christ of Nazareth and Calvary. You are now in a state of grace. You have done well in this life and have reached a degree of understanding never before achieved by one seeking the truth independently. I wish you to work for us by using your talents in spiritual matters. We shall guide you and, if you accept this challenge, you will be very well rewarded. First, though, you will be tested because we can not work with anyone on earth until they have shown that they accept us completely and indicate a deep understanding of us. You are free to decline the work that we offer you because it will be arduous and very demanding but if your answer is No!, then you will be on your own again and will receive no more help from us.

There followed a period of my life during which I was severely tested in many different ways, some of them most unpleasant. I had already accepted Jesus Christ's challenge, though, and decided that, after a lifetime of searching for the truth, I must continue.

My wife, Amanda, was also in communication with the spiritual hierarchy and it was obvious that we should have to work together. Our lives changed completely from this time onward. We became involved in trying to put across to the public the truths that had been given to us by the hierarchy in heaven.

Jesus Christ came and talked with us every day. He helped us with some personal problems and advised us on our financial affairs. Never, at any time, did my wife or I attempt to use our heavenly friends as fortune tellers.

We were guided and influenced to do certain things but never ordered to do anything. Our earthly, material needs were always given priority but, nevertheless, we spent hundreds of hours taking scripts from High Spiritual Beings and writing books, giving lectures and helping individuals with their personal problems.

One of the most frustrating aspects of our work was the fact that few people were willing to alter their understanding of their existence. So indoctrinated is the average person that it is difficult for them to eliminate preconceptions from their minds.

The most difficult students were those who had been brought up in a religious family but yet claimed to have rejected their religious teaching. We discovered that they were unable to forget their childhood false indoctrination. On the other hand, we had many students whose lives were transformed after taking our course in Spiritual Philosophy. It became obvious that all those who understood and accepted our teaching benefited greatly but those whose comprehension was inadequate, or who simply rejected the information, failed to gain an advantage.

Amanda and I were able to talk to virtually anyone in heaven by assigning our highly spiritual Guides to fetch them for us so that we could interview them. In this way, we met many formerly famous people. We have never acted as mediums for our students or for other people because our brief is to pass on spiritual philosophy. We did teach many students to communicate and they were then able to confirm our teaching themselves. They confirmed the fact that we survive death and that they have lived before, for example.

We never attempted to prove anything because it is a fact that no amount of practical demonstrations of proof will satisfy some people. They remain convinced that everything is achieved by trickery.

Our approach has always been to teach the student to prove our philosophy for himself. This is the only way. The truth is not demonstrable but it is knowable and it is up to the individual to prove it to himself.

Some spiritualists believe that Jesus Christ, or the spirit that animated Him, has risen so high that He is beyond the state where any contact with the earth plane is possible. This is not so. In
