PREFACE

All my life I thought I had the ability to see and hear the dead and the dark things that go bump in the night. I had dreams about future events and not just things that affected my loved ones. I dreamt about the tornadoes in America the night before it happened. I felt things everywhere I went and barely knew a moments peace.

For as long as I can remember the ghosts would be there terrifying me in the small hours of the night or walking past out of the corner of my eye. I lived in fear for years, wishing it away, but it never went.

People always say that this is a gift. I always called it a curse.

A gift is supposed to bring joy and happiness, not fear and unease.

The older I got the stronger my abilities became. I didn’t encourage them in any way until my early thirties, but that didn’t seem to matter. I had prophetic warning dreams, I’d see ghosts with my eyes and in my mind’s eye. I’d hear responses to questions that people around me asked. I could sense what was in a location and pinpoint exactly where they were. I could discern what gender or age a spirit was just from putting out my ‘spiritual feelers’. I had spirit guides that would ‘show’ me things and ‘help’ me out. I’d wandered into oracle cards and got exact readings on things that would come to pass. New Age was my thing and I loved it, but I was wandering down a dark hallway and didn’t even realise what was waiting for me or where the power to do these things was coming from.

Before I knew it, things had gotten out of control again and I was confused and overwhelmed.

But I found the way out. I am now living free from the curse.
