Introspectives

Introspectives is an inside look into the life of Destinee Fontaine. Destinee Fontaine is the main character in the upcoming book, The Diary of Destinee Fontaine. In Introspectives, Destinee is in real life situations, and interacts with memorable characters. The Author, Erik T. Jackson then takes a look at each situation and gives the reader background information, and describes the scene. Erik T. Jackson gets into Destinee's head, and allows the reader to know what it is she is thinking at that moment. Introspectives also has a section with quotes that Destinee Fontaine is known for, such as "As long as you are true to love, love will be true to you". There is an interveiw, in which Erik T. Jackson answers questions from fans. Introspectives ends with a sneak peak, first look, at the first chapter in The Diary of Destinee Fontaine, called 'The Wedding'.

If you knew what I have had to go through to get to this point, you wouldn’t believe it. A lot of people here, who have known me their whole lives can’t believe it either. People came just to see Destinee Fontaine jump the broom, and they wanted to see who would be jumping the broom with me. To some people, this wedding was supposed to be a farce, a spectacle; something to laugh at. But to see all the faces and the people in amazement, I can see that everyone knows that it’s much more than that. It’s an event…

The Diary of Destinee Fontaine begins with her at her wedding. She has had to overcome a lot of obstacles to get to this day. She feels that a lot of people that she invited only came to see a poorly put together, ghetto mess. She is beaming with pride as she looks around the room and notices that her guests realize that she has pulled off a once in a lifetime wedding.

Describing how I love him is something that I’ve done many times before, however, I had to come up with the perfect words to describe the man of my dreams, with all of my friends and family watching; that’s like being down by a point in the championship game and having to take the last shot…pressure…I have got to wow these people. I can’t have them leave here thinking that my vows are weak, and that my husband doesn’t mean much to me. If there is a single word to describe the ‘love of my life’, or the love of anyone’s life for that matter, I’ve got to find it. I’ve got to convey that message….
