I write with emotion, occasionally a temper, and I let my words flow free. I dabble in paranormal, contemporary romance, erotic fiction and darker urban fantasy. I fly by the crotch of my panties when writing, though I do try to keep a notebook handy for my many scribbled ideas, plot twists, and characters. Want to stay up to date on my work? Join my Code Blue newsletter http://eepurl.com/DV9rH I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first story when I was in seventh grade--A first person account of an entire summer. I went through a massive teen angst poetry phase, and I have notebooks and binders filled with prose. Ceithin and Aurelia from Fractured Moon showed up in my head. They yapped incessantly, demanding I sit and tell their story. After a month or two of being woken up with harsh whispers, I started writing. They haven't stopped, and in fact, brought friends. Now my head is filled with stories, scenes, snippets and crazy people. Cue Law and Order music here: dun, dun. These are their stories. Oh, and hey... I'm a Virgo.

    1 Room 72 – Philip & Katie #3

So, which set are you going to buy? Samantha Baker asked as Katie Riley held up two different lacy numbers in front of the giant mirror of the lingerie store.

I’m not sure yet. Neither of these speaks to me, Katie replied and placed both options back on the rack in favor of the hot pink teddy with matching thigh-highs and garter. She liked the way the pink tones brought out the blue in her eyes.

That color compliments your skin tone beautifully, a female voice said from behind her. Katie turned to look over her shoulder at the petite blonde employee and smiled.

Thank you, Katie said and then continued to stare at herself in the mirror. The lingerie employee nodded and wandered over to another customer.

The sound of Samantha’s heels clicking on the tile made Katie glance at her friend. Sam was pointing to her watch. Chop chop, girlie, or you’re not going to have enough time to cook or obsessively clean before he gets to your place. Ryan just texted me they were leaving the office and heading to the gym. She resumed reading her phone, scrolling through her messages.

Katie opened her mouth to speak just as Samantha’s cheeks turned scarlet and she grinned at her phone. No doubt Ryan had said something racy. Katie refused to check her own phone for messages from Philip; she had too much on her mind, and if he did send her sexy messages she wasn’t sure she’d be able to wait until later.

Samantha shifted on her feet, moved her large red purse from one shoulder to the other, and then slipped her phone into her back pocket before fanning her face.

How do you move in those things? Katie asked, pointedly glancing at Sam’s painted-on skinny jeans.

Sam lifted a shoulder and tilted her head as she fingered the tag of a royal blue bra and panty set. They’re a blend of spandex. They just move with you—feels like I’m wearing nothing. She plucked her size off the rack and draped the hanger over her free arm.

And those? Katie asked and laughed, glancing down at the red closed-toe high heels Sam preferred to strut around wearing.

They make my legs look great, and Ryan loves them. Sam’s eyes twinkled in the store’s bright halogen lighting, and Katie knew her mind had just gone to some sex position. She shook her head and walked over to her best friend, linking her arm with Sam’s and pulling her toward the counter.

How’s the wedding planning coming? Did you guys set a date yet? Katie said, hoping she could jar her friend’s thoughts back to the present as she lifted her choice onto the sleek marble counter.

The petite blonde sales clerk smiled and said, "This is a
