I write with emotion, occasionally a temper, and I let my words flow free. I dabble in paranormal, contemporary romance, erotic fiction and darker urban fantasy. I fly by the crotch of my panties when writing, though I do try to keep a notebook handy for my many scribbled ideas, plot twists, and characters. Want to stay up to date on my work? Join my Code Blue newsletter http://eepurl.com/DV9rH I've been writing for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first story when I was in seventh grade--A first person account of an entire summer. I went through a massive teen angst poetry phase, and I have notebooks and binders filled with prose. Ceithin and Aurelia from Fractured Moon showed up in my head. They yapped incessantly, demanding I sit and tell their story. After a month or two of being woken up with harsh whispers, I started writing. They haven't stopped, and in fact, brought friends. Now my head is filled with stories, scenes, snippets and crazy people. Cue Law and Order music here: dun, dun. These are their stories. Oh, and hey... I'm a Virgo.

    ––––––––

    1 Room 306 – Philip & Katie #1

I like how you’ve let your hair grow, a sexy, masculine voice whispered into her ear as she watched the couples dance on the reception floor.

Katie Riley toyed with the hem of her conservative black cocktail dress as a quick shiver snaked up her spine from the heat of the man behind her. She wanted to turn and inhale his scent, wrap his strong arms around her waist, and then lead him up to her hotel room for a night of steam to celebrate her victory in court that afternoon.

But Philip Tanner was supposed to be off limits.

Her best friend Samantha was dating Philip’s best friend Ryan. It seemed natural – like she should date him, then the four of them could hang out and double, but Katie was afraid if things went south between her and Phillip, she’d lose her friends. She adored Sam and Ryan, and she didn’t want to be the cause of any wedge between them.

Thank you, Philip, she said as she found her voice, though her words might have been a bit slower than usual thanks to copious amounts of champagne. Sam suggested I let it grow out more, so I’d have more options in the courtroom.

Katie told a half-truth because her conniving best friend secretly knew Philip preferred long-haired brunettes and had shared that information with her one night after a few glasses of wine and gossip. But in fairness, Sam was right on one point - Katie could pull her hair back in a severe bun when she needed to appear stern and in charge, or she could let her natural wave shine through if she thought sex appeal might help her case. However, family court didn’t respond well to a sexy flare, other than the occasional lewd stare from a douchebag, and she had no desire to pursue other court appointments currently. She stepped forward two paces and then turned to face the man who’d starred in many of her late-night fantasies.

His light blue eyes sparkled from the slender beam of light hitting him directly in the face. He’d tied his long hair back. She instantly wanted to break the elastic and run her hands through his locks as she grabbed his head and shoved it between her aching thighs. Katie clenched her legs together and started running through her case docket in her mind to curb the raging lust flowing through her blood.

Would you like to dance? Philip asked.

His question jarred her from the grocery list she’d turned to when her thoughts crept back to his hot body on top of hers, his full lips kissing and nibbling her jaw.

She looked down at her feet and started mumbling to herself, Cat food, paper plates, chicken, tuna, batteries, ice cream, chocolate syrup... Katie saw Philip’s feet take a step closer
