Goodbyes are never easy. Particularly after a night like that.

The morning sunlight was bright through the suite windows, forcing Katie to squint even with her back to the sun.

It was so cool to meet you girls! Julie said. Julie and Jamie wore matching smiles to go with their matching lime green sundresses and matching luggage. I’m seeing double again.

I had a blast, Serena purred, leaning against Katie. So glad we could hang out.

Yeah, me too, Katie said.

We’ve got you on Facebook now, Jamie said. We’ll stay in touch. Maybe we’ll be in San Diego one day.

Serena smiled big. Definitely! Or maybe we’ll go skiing sometime.

That doesn’t sound half bad, actually, Serena thought to herself, thinking less about skiing and more about curling up in the ski lodge with a hot cocoa and a scarf on.
