It's the middle of the 21st century. Some overpopulated, broken city.

You're useless. If it weren't for you, we might have won the fight!

The words still echoed in Lucy's head. She felt down and tired. Her shoulder was still hurting where the enemy ganger had hit her. If it hadn't been for Omar, the boss, she would have been dead. He had stopped the blow, saving her from a full-power blow with a baseball bat to the head.

As the rain started to fall, she sook cover in a derelict building close by. She was far away from her gang's territory, in a place she had never been to before. She managed to open the door as the downpour came. Within seconds, the outside world was curtained off by the massive flood. She waited for a second to catch her breath, then examined her surroundings.

The building had been constructed in the last century, a rather ugly concrete structure. She walked further inside. Decades of neglect and lack of power had caused all the security systems to fail. This was some kind of corporate facility. She didn't recognise the company logo, though.

As she entered the lobby, she called out:

    Anybody here? Hello?

No response. She quickly dusted off two of the seats and sat down. Time to examine the bruises.
