    Indecent Magic - Sebastian Hall

Indecent Magic : The Witch’s Desires Unleashed

    By Sebastian Hall

Dammit, Aurora swore with feeling into her iced coffee on the patio of the crowded sidewalk café.  I wish I had the power to just look at a guy and make him want to fuck my brains out.  I’d try them on one by one until I finally found that right fit and I’ll finally feel like I can die utterly fulfilled and happy!

Girl, you best be careful what you wish for!  You know what happens anytime you say things a certain way, Tawanda admonished in response to her friend’s spoken desire.

She carried all the stereotypical sass of a young black woman reserved for nearly all pop culture representations found in all of TV and even the radio.  This quirk, however, did not seem satirical or strained when pouring out of Tawanda, but merely natural to her being.  In her own words, she was a Proud Negress Ethiopian Queen, and she wore her ethnicity on her sleeve without embarrassment or apologies.  Tawanda was the type you either loved or you hated, and she had no time for the haters, but ample love for the lovers.

That energy is what had drawn Aurora to her and kept them constant friends since they had met years ago in their Psych class at school.  Their whispered communications throughout the lectures helped them learn all about each other while making the boring class speed by on a daily basis.

Tawanda was an amazing character Aurora carried nothing but love and kindness for, glued to each other like the sisters neither of them ever had, but sometimes, Aurora felt, girl was just cur-azy

Tawanda had been insisting for years that Aurora was a closet witch and had, what she referred to, the natural power of spell-speak.  She had defined that to Aurora, years ago, that this was the ability to will things into existence, word for word, based on how things were said and the type of energy executed in saying them.

She had been convinced this power was native to Aurora based on this one time in class when Aurora had been observing the weather patterns of that particular winter.  It had been one of those dreary New England ordeals where the snow seemed a permanent fixture in the sky and on the roads, but in small doses every other day.  The last two snow storms had been predicted as blizzards, neither one yielding more than a couple of inches of light, powdery snow.  Another alleged blizzard was supposedly headed their way that night, and Aurora had been voicing her decree on the matter.

These bitches at the weather tower don’t have a clue what a blizzard is.  I’m tired of it! She had cried, overly emphatic with true emotion mixed in to her dramatization of her sentiments.  She had gone on rambling, If they’re calling this shit a blizzard, guess what, bitch?  I want a damned blizzard!  No less than one to two feet of that blasted snow on the ground and school cancellations in every county!  Enough already!

As fate would have it, they had gotten exactly two feet of snow that night and schools had been shut down for the following two days.  She
