About this ebook
Young Gentleman’s Day is Book 2 in the Regency Life Series.
Depicts the ups and downs of a young gentleman’s day in the early 1800’s, or Regency Era. Fun pictures, historical information, and funny anecdotes show how he fills his day, where he goes, and with whom he spends time. These light-hearted looks at the longer Regency years are an easy to read overview of what people did and wore, and where they worked and played. Plenty of information for history buffs and lots of pictures help readers and writers of historical fiction visualize the last years of the 18th Century until Queen Victoria took the throne.

I now live in a sunny part of Australia after spending many years in developing countries in the South Pacific. My greatest loves are traveling, anywhere and everywhere, meeting crazy characters, and visiting the Australian outback.I adore history, especially the many-layered society of the late Regency to early Victorian eras. In and around London, my titled heroes and heroines may live a privileged and gay life but I also love digging deeper into the grittier and seamier levels of British life and write about the heroes and heroines who challenge traditional manners, morals, and occupations, either through necessity or desire.Tag Line- Making history fun, one year at a time

About the Author
Foreword
This second book in the REGENCY LIFE SERIES follows on from REGENCY OVERVIEW, BOOK1, and looks at the typical life of a young man during the regency years.
This series is a tribute to all historical romance readers and researchers who, like me, love delving into history and discovering as much as possible about past eras. Historical images and texts from the 18th and 19th Centuries are generally free of copyright and therefore fall under Creative Commons and are tagged as PD-150, PD-old-100, PD-Art etc. As much information as possible regarding dates, names, and places is displayed with information and images, and credit given to sources such as museums, libraries, and universities, because Hot Linking is not recommended by Wikipedia and other sources.
The way I’ve discussed historical facts and displayed the images and information is entirely my own work and wording, and therefore copyrighted by Suzi Love. The Bibliography includes historic sites, museums, universities, libraries etc., plus some of the old books used for research, though the list shows only a small part of my research. All rights to the arguments, discussions, and layouts used in this book are therefore reserved. No part of this book may be reproduced in any form other than brief quotations embodied in critical articles or reviews and full credit must be given to the author.

Regency Era
Strictly speaking, the REGENCY ERA refers to the years between 1811 and 1820 when George IV acted as Prince Regent when his father was unable to remain in power due to his illness, or rather his madness.
For convenience, the term REGENCY YEARS is used to describe the longer period from the last two years of the Georgian Era (1809-1810), plus the ten years under the Prince Regent (1811-1820), and up until 1837 when Queen Victoria came to the throne.

Life for a young man during these years was mainly influenced by the Napoleonic Wars, and whether or not they joined the military to fight Napoleon. Elder sons, especially if they were heirs to titles and wealth, were expected to stay at home and protect
