About this ebook

Private Detective Alex French solves problems. And he's very good at what he does. But now the problem strikes too close to home.
Matt Blake is a heartless old banker, who never had any compassion for his employees. He did not pay them generously, to put it mildly, and he fired them for outrageous reasons like they have been sick and left work a day.
One fine day, Blake is holding a meeting at the First Central Bank of East Main where he works as the bank's president. He leers at a pretty blond-haired woman with blue eyes and ample breasts that walks inside the building. She pulls a shotgun demanding money when Blake tried to intervene, she shoots him down. Before security guards could stop her, she rushes to an elevator with the money she just robbed. Of course, security guards are waiting for her on the upper floor. However, the woman mysteriously disappears on her way there. Nobody can understand how and where she could escape, along with the money, she robbed.
Private Eye Alex French has three days to find the mysterious lady to ensure evil does not go unpunished.

    Chapter One

It was a warm morning in Fayette County. Bees were busy doing their dance, pollinating the roses on the left and right sides of the front door of First Central Bank of East Main.

Matt Blake had a troubled night and wasn’t looking forward to this day. It was Friday, July the first and all the factory workers would be coming to get their checks cashed for the long 4th of July weekend. Some happy, just wanting to get their pay, so they could hit the liquid store and be drunk before sunset. Others would be mad at the bank, bank tellers, or anyone who stood in their way and at the pitiful wage, they were earning for the back-breaking work. One way or another, it always turned into a misunderstanding and someone going to jail.

Blake looked at the roses, shaking his head. It’s too damn close, he said to anyone listening. The English Legend is too close to the front door. They will draw honey bees, and the, next thing you know. Bees will be attacking my customer. If someone is stung, they’ll be trying to sue the bank. Then I will have to go before the board of trustees and explain to them why the landscaping service decided to disobey my order and put the flowers right next to the front door over the weekend.

Good morning, Mister Blake. Pretty day, isn’t it?

Blake looked up to see a beautiful, big busted, blue-eyed blonde, wearing a raincoat, smiling down at him. Going to be a pleasant day, I think, She says with a smile.

Amanda Evans was the vice president of the south branch of First Central. She stopped by to deliver the weekly reports to the president. She noticed him looking at the roses and saw the look on his face. One thing she had learned from the twenty years of working with Blake was he was a strange fellow; everything had it place. She saw him pull out a ruler and get down on his hands and knees to measure the wheels on an employee parking space. And if the car were a few inches over the line, he'd have the employee move their car.

    She didn’t like
