Hey there, Marc Barel here.I heard you'd like to get to know a little about myself, and I'm here to fulfill that request. I'm currently 23 years old, as of March 2015, with my birthday on the 19th of December. I'm a Filipino, born here in the US but raised there. I like eating, reading, video games, any with an amazing plot really. How did I start getting into stories and writing? I sort of blame, and thank, my boredom for that. I was in high school and I had been looking for something to do in my spare time while waiting between classes. So I went to the library and picked out an old looking book and took it out. It was The Count of Monte Cristo. I remember reading it non-stop, even when my favorite TV shows came on, I just kept going. From there on, I just grabbed books and kept reading. As for the whole writing thing? I have my the English teacher I had for my senior year for that. She was the one who had made us write blog posts for school and I had done it because it was necessary. It was also where I wrote my first short story to say the least. From there it expanded, looking for new stories online, getting into manga and comics. Which led to my small tenure in fanfiction. And here I am now, writing indie books- well attempting at least- on Smashwords. And it can only go up from here.

About the Author
Chris
Hey Chris,
my partner calls out. I turn to look at him- clad in worn jeans, red shirt, and yellow vest- and raise a questioning brow. Grey eyes looked back at my brown questioningly.
Yeah Matt?
I ask as we drove down couple of feet towards the next house.
This is going to be our last two weeks together man.
The sadness in his voice is palpable and I know how he feels. He presses a few buttons and the truck comes to life.
Yeah it is.
The rumbling of the vehicle soothes me a little as the sounds of machines filter into my ear. The dumpster in front of us is lifted up and the contents thrown into the waste storage of the truck.
So what are we going to do about it?
I was silent at first, not knowing how to answer. What would we do during the last two weeks on the job together? To be honest, I really don’t know. For now though, I’ll just be honest with what I think.
I'll think of something,
I said running my hand through my black hair. I'll think of something, bro.
Lydia Day
This place always bring back lots of memories, right man?
Matt asked as he started our route. I looked out at the first stop, our first stop.
Of course it does, man. This was our first job, as well as our stop every week man,
I reply. It was an average sized home, on the corner of a quiet little neighborhood. Out of all the houses here, it was the only fenced one around. The oak tree in front cast a shadow over the green grass of the lawn. The large windows in front were covered by white shades. What a nasty color to go with beige. Yuck.
You kept complaining on how beige the entire thing was.
He laughed a little as he got out of the truck.
That was true, as far as I could remember. Looking at the house now, it was still beige as from top to bottom and it irritated me to no end; I really did not like that color. I stepped out of the car as well by now and followed him to the gate of the house. Getting past the well oiled gate, we walk up a couple of feet to the white wooden door. Matt rang the doorbell as I hung back.
I remember our first job being really messy too. Way too much trash,
I uttered as I turn to the garden near the large windows in the front.
Really? I don’t remember it being that messy.
Matt said with a confused voice.
Of course you wouldn’t. You were too busy hitting on our client's wife.
His face lighted up with recognition and he smiled at the memory.
Oh yeah. I remember now. Lydia and I had such sweet times together.
I rolled my eyes.
You always do that kind of thing man. You should stop having fun with our clients’ significant others.
And you maybe you should try to. Come on man, you should live a little.
As soon as he said that, the door opened and a woman dressed only in a nearly see through red negligee was on the
