- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Zom-B Angels is about a new group that B (The main character) finds. When she is in the new place, it seems to be very clean. While she is walking around, she finds this machine that heals wounds for zombies. When B got out of the tube, she meet some one. That person was some one from her old group. She thought he died, but he didn't die. The new group looks for supplies to help them live. B also learns some things about the zombies. The thing she learned, is that zombies grow, but they grow slowly. I personally didn't like this book as much as I did the other ones. This book seemed to be slow passed, ad kind of boring. I didn't think it was the best book ever, but it is semi-enjoyable. I didn't expect them to Darren Shan to make another book with a group again. It wasn't that good to read this time. I like the other books he made, just not much this time. I hope he makes better ones.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I feel like the series has kind of leveled off with Angels, the third book in the Zomb-B series. Things began to simultaneously make much more sense and become much more complicated and confusing in this book. I wasn't sure how to feel through much of it, though by this point I've become pretty attached to the main character and I'm curious enough about her world to continue reading on.The most disconcerting thing about the entire book was the back story given to explain the appearance of zombies, which is where I felt the most strained from the story. The entire thing is, of course, really out-there -- but I felt the backstory for the zombie apocalypse was really over the top. At the same time, the entire tone of it was consistent with everything else I've read by Shan, so I can't say I was particularly surprised, and it wasn't enough to turn me off, so I'm hoping that eventually it all falls into place and becomes a little bit more sensical.I liked the new characters introduced in this volume and am eager to see what kind of relationships they build with B. The other zombies she interacts with are interesting, and it's fun to think about the kind of lifestyle and world they've constructed amidst all of the turmoil. I'll be reading the next book immediately.
